There's an excellent card on in Melbourne (Coburg) this sunday featuring:

LHW - Micevic (Vic) vs. Maku (Fiji).
SMW - Yannick (Vic - originally Cameroon) vs. Sultan (Philippines).
CW - McCracken (NSW) vs. Varga (Qld - originally Hungary).
LMW - Hunt (Vic) vs. McNabney (NZ).

Not world class fighters (as yet anyway), but all look well matched. Should be a good night!!

Thanks COULDHAVEBEEN. It was a great night with the only change being Maku out and Vaka in. Micevic showed great strength and hand speed in his first fight at L/Heavy and we now believe that he will contest mainly at that weight. Louie looking for a strong 8 rounder next. Micevic TKO 2.

Yannick did very well to stop Dundun Sultan in 5 which was well stoped by the ref as Sultan was taking too much punishment and being a typical Philipino, would have stood there the distance and worn those shots. Time for Yannick to start pushing for titles. Yannick TKO 5.

Good performance by Tim Hunt with a clear win over Dion McNabney. It was a perfect fight for Hunt with his first taste of 3 min rounds(6) which helped erase the memory of his previous loss. Hunt UD.

Anthony McCracken and Balzs Varga opened the night with an awsome 6 rounder with both boys landing big shots. Really got the crowd going with McCracken taking the win. McCracken UD.

Had a great response from all those present and are really trying to secure a following in Melbourne's North.

'*******s' McCracken v Varga was the best opening match I've seen. McCracken was impressive. But half way through you could almost hear him thinking "what have I got myself into here?" Varga looks like he'll never get knocked out no matter how long he boxes - great performance for his second pro fight.

Couldn't agree more Huricon. A good example was the HW title fight on TV two weekends ago. Admittedly they were big guys, and the fact that one was a southpaw didn't help, but not a great fight to watch!
