No I meant prime it’s just a low hanging fruit example, punishing someone for pushing is the subject.
Trying to dodge and slip, Swag runs himself into an uppercut. Try addressing the argument. Namely that Foreman's chin in the 70's was not as great as you might wish and within the ability of a heavy puncher like Tua to crack open. Yeah, I know it isn't fair to point this out if you are trying to polish up Forteman. Another transmission from the Planet Reverso, where Holmes can't jab and where Patterson has an iron chin. LOOOL Cummings doesn't have a single win over any worthwhile opponent. I would disregard him as a measure of anything. I've seen most of that fight, and Frazier lost it. Must have been hard for Cummings to have knocked over that series of skittles that he fought previously We are talking about chins. Frazier's chin is vulnerable to cruiserweights, 12th fight or no. Besides, you yourself made the argument that "chins can't improve with age". By your reasoning that's a better chin than Frazier had than when he faced Foreman. Sure, and does this ring a bell? "Tua never took the punches Foreman laid out on Frazier. He met ONE puncher arguably of that caliber, **** himself, and went into a shell the remainder of the fight, winning a total of 3 rounds across 3 scorecards. He was also knocked flat on his ass by Rahman." Wow, sounds like his chin wasn't that great in the 70's. Wow, sounds like his chin improved in the 90s. Nah, the fact that you are weaseling around and contradicting yourself all through this discussion in an effort to form a cohesive narrative that props up the myth of FORTEman shows that you are guilty of being a fanboy.
Again you can't seem to keep up with the discussion. Not sure if you're confusing or trolling. We were comparing Frazier to Tua in this particular discussion not Foreman. Two strawmen and completely made up arguments I never made, in this discussion. That's.... that's literally what I just. Except his power can't be discarded because we can see on film for all the skill he lacks, he's clearly powerful which Bruno attested to. Even if Frazier lost the fight, he still went the distance which he wouldn't have been able to in the condition he was in even if he was chinny, and Cummings simply wasn't very good. Cummings actually very good power, but power doesn't mean much if you can't put it to use at world level. Chins don't improve. I stand by that. However, things like balance, defense, etc definitely improve, which is why Frazier faired much better in the rematch. You're confused (again). This has SFA to do with Foreman going the distance with far more experienced fighters when pro, so not sure why you brought it up. Also that wasn't what prompted you to bring up the non-sensical Levi Forte comparison. You brought that up in response to me saying I'm not sure if Tua could take those punches Foreman laid out on Frazier. You should really try keeping up in this discussion, I'm getting tired of having to remind you of your arguments. Yeah he just shook off Frazier's hooks like they were nothing. The same hooks that got to one of the most durable fighters of all time, and put him on his ass. Let me guess was Ali chinny as well? Not sure how you could've possibly reached that conclusion reading my post. Other aspects of Foreman improved in the 90s, including his defense, pacing, and lack of self-dehydration. Not necessarily his chin. The irony. You're all over the ****ing please with non-sense and can't keep up with the comparisons YOU bring forward.
Ali didn’t shake off Henry Coopers hooks like they were nothing because he could shift his weight… Fraziers hook was a punch “at” a target not “through” he could hit hard but it isn’t a concussive blow he had his weight all on his front foot, he “put Ali on his ass” late in a fight for a few seconds because Ali dropped his right hand a thousand times and got hit a thousand times… I would expect Foreman to be able to take a few hooks early in a fight most guys can… however Foreman didn’t take Young’s punches like they were nothing, Ali’s like they were nothing or Lyle’s who almost killed him, I’m pretty sure (it’s been a long time) in the round where Foreman was on the way out it was short round right? @cross_trainer you usually have this sort of stuff in your back pocket was it a short round? Foreman’s chin is a quasi myth… people oooh and ahhh about Evander lighting him up but they don’t understand what they’re seeing, when Evander strung those punches together his hips stopped being involved at all he was arm punching then there’s Moorer? A shot Gerry Cooney forced Foreman to try and close early because he was worried, Qawi was shaking him up, Morrison is his best credit and he ran all night what got through that was so incredible to withstand exactly? Morrison was a hype job (with due respect) Foreman could see all his shots coming he genuinely had a great system of defence especially for the left hook… his defence was his key attribute in the 80s by far. George had a good chin no doubt but he’s not a freak of nature in that regard in the 70s he could’ve ended up a Bob Satterfield with different management. I know you’ll read this as much as you tell the forum over and over “I’m ignoring Kamikaze” you need to chill out mate.
I just watched Tony Thompson's second fight against Price. The guy had all of the ingredients for beating Zaire Foreman. He was a big guy, tall, and a southpaw. He was also extremely calm and didn't mind a brawl. He only lost to Wlad anywhere near his prime and won most of his big fights by outlasting the opponent.
