I know a couple of prospects from the Philippines have recently turned out to be duds and Abe Concepcion appears to be the only one left standing or according to doubters, still to be exposed. I just want to know if people out there think that he'll turn out just fine. :thumbsup

He is a good prospect. I wish he sets up his punches better. I think seven more fights and we should see him in a championship fight.

Supposed to be fighting Juanma Lopez the one who statched Ponce De leon.
is this true because prospects with future earning potential dont get thrown to the wolvs this early.

Yes that was true... fortunately roach was against it and said that concepcion wasn't ready yet. That's was the reason it didn't push through.

Yes I am, but I'm only interested in "some" Filipino fighters...a lot are just products of hype of a certain Filipino website (can't blame them, the boxer's promoter and the website owner are friends), though there are some that really have potential though it doesn't show on their record.

I am a fan of Louisito Espinosa and Manny Pacquiao.

I see nothing extraordinary in abe. good young kid but is nothing like pacman when pac was at this age. he may win a belt at 122 in like 2 years or so

Of course he's nothing like Pacman...a boxer like Pacquiao comes once in a lifetime.

Tremendous physical abilities, but he has just a hint of Andre Dirrell on him.

Abe must avoid juanma like a plague, maybe 10 more fights and he'd be ready.
