I have to laugh at myself; I should be smart enough not to fall for Froch's self-hype, but I did!:patsch

Froch KO5 Decebal, since Froch knows that in pro-boxing, it doesn't matter whether people want you to win or lose, as long as they BADLY want you to win or lose!

I am a fan of Froch's and like the bloke. He is good for boxing and he is a very good fighter. I think Froch will win by KO in round 10 but Inkin is an hard test and very skilled if not too durable. I think it comes down to how much more skilled Inkin is than Froch. If Froch is good enough to keep on Inkin and stop Inkin from outworking him then Froch should win. I expect Inkin to be very defensve and go for the decision.

Yeah, Froch's exciting, he comes to fight, he'd not dirty, he packs a punch - he's good for boxing.

I think that if Froch shows a lot of improvement in this fight and doesn't get outboxed by Inkin (too much), he's climbing right up the rankings! Of course, of Inkin is chinny, just taking him out doesn't prove much, in itself...

But if Froch impesses, he's definitely Top 5 for me...

    Kessler
    Bute
    Mundine
    Froch

I would definetly have him top 10 and if he comes through this fight well then it can be said he's a top five fighter. I am kind of surprised and glad these two have got together to fight. Both can make an impact win or lose.

The division looks pretty impressive even without the guy who was better than them all combined.

Add Bika, Taylor, Miranda, Codrington, Dirrel and a few others and we have some intersting fights coming up.

just to clarify, decebel, would you say froch's good for boxing?

i don't mind him to be honest. i find him entertaining. he talks shite but without making me cringe and hope he gets the chance against one of the top 5.

Yes...I would say he is because he is tough and durable, so won't be KTFO by one punch and because he comes to fight and knock the other guy out, which is exciting. Also, now that he has to step up to the plate, he'll start fighting better opposition too - he'll have to!

The fact that he talks **** is bad and good. Bad for us, who know how good he is compared to the others he disparages and good because it makes him known to casual fans, which means more people will get into boxing, because of him, because they believe what he says and see that he is exciting.

He won't be able to hug that belt even if he tried - the SMW division is too deep to allow for that. Even if he only fights one tough fight a year (the mandatory), he should provide good value.

He'll also work on his defence ad technique when he steps up - he'll have to, so...in the end, he'll deliver some quality match-ups, I think.

He has to show improvement against Inkin, though. A stoppage is not enough on its own...

Was worried when someone mentioned in your Arthur v Guzman thread that you'd asked for your ESB account to be erased. :patsch

Trust all is well now you have started up yet another Froch topic.

Just hope you didn't jinx his fight now Inkin has withdrawn again. :-(

Inkin was a good test, even if he was chinny. Berrio is too, but he's taking this at awfully short notice...2 weeks!:patsch
