Another indication that Usyk will make a fine heavy.

Not the case I think most folks that question his ability to operate at HW are considering the physical disadvantages he will be faced with. I don’t understand why this isn’t a legitimate concern in your eyes, it’s completely rational to think he will need to overcome some real hurdles.

Ok I know I’ve said this before but here it goes again... go checkout Usyk’s WSOB fights against legit world class Super Heavyweights. He dealt with them fine. And before you say they weren’t in Joshua’s ‘class’ keep in mind Usyk comfortably beat Nistor.. the same Nistor who Anthony is still having nightmares about.

Oleksandr will do VERY well at HW and in time it will be proven.

I agree Usyk has shown himself to be multi layered and with what we’ve seen by the three constant variables Usyk has shown the most versatility.

That said Joshua won’t be missing any sleep thinking about how he’s going to handle Usyk power and Wilder for all his technical deficiencies is just as quick, mobile and athletic as Usyk except his significantly larger with concussive power.

Intelligence can be measured in several different forms so stating Usyk is “smarter” is extremely subjective.

Usyk is Smarter as in ring IQ and just overall intelligence. That much is obvious man. Lol Watch the way they fight and also listen to their interviews. It’s pretty damn obvious. ;)

I get it, however, you have to keep in mind your definition of intelligence is based on your standardized gauging process i.e. which is skewed to fit what’s commen to you....your miscounting linguistic, interpersonal, artistic, musical, bodily and other intelligences that fall into the multi-intelligence categories. Floyd can barely read but is, historically speaking, one of the most intelligent men to ever box.

You will be impressed, Usyk looks really good against SHWs in the WSB. In general he did better against larger guys in the ams where his speed advantage was more pronounced. Sky UK's Johnny Nelson was saying that Usyk will be a unified HW champion, so even the UK media (who have written off Parker) think he has a shot.

That being said I think you have a fair point, going up to HW and beating the man there is a huge ask, especially if it is someone like Joshua who has continued to improve. I hope Usyk can do it but I really don't know, it's far from a foregone conclusion. He had enough pop to keep the SHWs off for 5 rounds in the WSB and a good chin to take whatever they dealt for 5 rounds, but 12 rounds is considerably more challenging.

He could win the fake WBA regular right now though if he got Charr into the ring lol.

    Just stop this nonense.

Wilder's "power" is entirely mythical, as evidenced by Stivern 1, Molina, Duhapas, and Szpilka, all of whom have been stopped much more convincingly by others, sometimes complete cans like Ashanti Jordan and Demetrice King.

Wilder's "Power" was manufactured in a board room when somebody realized that they were trying to market a completely talentless, chinny bum who was gifted a bronze. The method was matching him against zombies (Lyakovich, Harrison) and paid divers (Scott).

Everyone knows this is the truth, which is why he has never faced a live body, and no, a 50 year old two-time PED abuser is not going to count.

Usyk will have to solve Joshua's power, but he will win every round against Wilder he cares to. Wilder is not even on Breidis' level in power, much less Mezhidov's.

I appreciate your objectivity and like I mentioned I have my doubts regarding just how successful he can be against the more athletic and physically imposing guys of the division. There’s no question that if guys like Haye, Bryd etc can have success so can Usyk.

I’ve always been impressed by his ability and natural fluidity in the ring but I question whether or not it can be translated successfully against a limited but physically towering rangy and explosive guy like Wilder. Wilder doesn’t have the boxing apperception that Usyk has but his pocket or dimension is quite dynamic and weighted heavily in his gas tank and power.

Usyk was given a tough fight by Briedis therefore he should've had an even tougher one with all those much bigger, stronger, harder punching SHWs he fought in the WSB, right? One of whom is 3 x world amateur champion and an absolutely savage puncher at SHW.

Or Olympic silver medalist (robbed of gold in most people's opinion) Joe Joyce

Or big punching APB champion and conqueror of AJ Mihai Nistor (yes I know AJ has improved since then)

Or 260lb man mountain Uaine Fa and 2x conqueror of current WBO champ Joseph Parker

Guess who gave Usyk the toughest fight out of all those SHWs? I'll give you a clue it wasn't any of the giants.

I'm not saying Usyk will beat AJ or even Donkeypotamus, the later of whom cannot even fight. However, we have seen Usyk in against massive bangers and man mountain SHWs in the WSB (elite amateurs) and he totally schooled most of them.

6'5'', 260lb man mountain and savage puncher Aslanbek Makhmudov

You gonna try and tell me this guy isn't a massive puncher?

6'6'' man mountain and big puncher Filip Hrgovic

This is the third Cuban SHW Hrgovic has stopped in the last 3 or so years IIRC so he can bang a little bit
