Zhankhozh Turarov is based in Florida along with Kanat Islam but appears more polished than his compatriot. Not seen much of him but did come across his most recent bout. In his early 20's with power, an aggressive style and fighting at 140 I'd suggest adding the kid to your watch list. [YT]end7Q-MHWYA[/YT]
Difficult to evaluate a boxer's potential before he goes against somewhat decent opposition, at least C-grade. Boxrec is full of undefeated fighters and most of them will retire before anyone hears their name.
Worth noting that the guy he fights in the video had been the distance with- Breidis Prescott (ending Prescott's KO run back in 2007) Miguel Acosta Darleys Perez (twice) Roberto Ortiz So a stoppage win over him is worth noting
A win over a journeyman with a record of 23 wins and 26 losses whose biggest accomplishment is losing all of his fights against notable opponents w/o getting KO'd is not really worth noting - if we're talking about a "future prospect".
I've tried mentioning better guys as future prospects (notably hyping up Kosei Tanaka prior to his debut and trying to get people to care about Min Wook Kim) though it seems Kazaks are the in thing...so might as well bring one of them to everyones attention. There's another young Kazak who is now signed with Golden Gloves in South Africa that's probably a fair bit better, Roman Zhailauov For what it's worth Turarov's biggest accomplishment as a pro is probably stopping Abraham Peralta back in 2013.
I know, most of the guys I do threads on I'm just trying to bring attention to as well. Not that I really think they can all be the next big thing.
You weren't rude to don't worry about mate, just sick of reading threads about the same 5 or 6 guys and feel it's worth giving attention to some lesser known guys. I know there was some fuss about Kanat Islam and thought this kid looked the better guy on the show last Monday
