I don't think I've got anything to say that noone else has already or will in the next couple of days but I'm making a new thread anyways... Firstly, no matter what happened in that ring, whether Paul legitimately couldn't go on with the fight or if he took a dive, it is a shameful disgrace that the fight went ahead anyway. I mean, look at the key points discussed leading up to it: 1. Briggs health was in question due to a history of problems with his nervous system and mental / emotional stability. 2. Briggs hasn't stepped into a ring in over 3 years and was one of few who it seemed would legitimately stay retired. 3. Briggs couldn't or didn't make weight (and looked podgie and unhealthy). 4. The NSW Combat Sports whatever refused to sanction the bout. If nothing says "this fight is a farce from the beginning, we shouldn't fight retired, unhealthy people rather than actual, live and currently competitive boxers" like points 1 & 2, points 3 & 4 ****ing stamp it out in big red ****ing letters... Secondly - Danny, if you're so sorry about it, refund everyone's money. You are a fool if like the rest of us you weren't questioning Brigg's health & ability to step back into the ring after 3 years off with no tune up. You got ****ed over, yes, and it's not entirely your fault, but don't go playing holier than thou shouting bloody murder when the expected happens. Challenge a real top ten Cruiser mate, then you can say what you like (and imo, Shane Cameron doesn't count). Lastly - A big :finger5 **** YOU :finger5 to all involved.
