Hey, I think the ref was saving Mcgirt the ebarrasment of throwing in the towel again more so than saving the Rock.i

How many fights have Mcgirt fighters been shut out in!

What was the rock thinking....Mcgirt did such a fine job in the game plan for Brewster v. Klitschko II?

I'm not a big McGirt fan, but c'mon. Rahman was a replacement that took the fight on 3 weeks notice and didn't hire McGirt as his trainer until just a few days ago.

Does mcGirt train these guys or is he just there in the corner as a health advisor?

Bunce was going crazy about McGirt live on Setanta tonight,
"he gonna get it with two barrels" before being told they were going to commercial's.

McGirt got his trainer's pedigree on Tarver vs RJJ II. I think he is a vastly overrated trainer who vastly overrated fighters (ie Rahman, Malinaggi, Tarver, etc) hire for big fights. He's an average trainer at best who gives useless advice in the corner. I am not at all surprised at his track record in elite fights.

Seriously I have been thinking to my self lately how often McGirt has to throw in the towel. He is overrated as hell.

Can someone make a list of the 10 or so big fights McGirt has trained in?

This is his job m'man, he has bills to pay, a family to look after....

When the best fighters are already being trained by trainers theyve eather been with for awhile, or are some of the complete elite trainers in the world.... he doesnt have much choice. I doubt hes going to turn down a paycheck because he knows his guy has no chance.

    just imo

Did anyone hear the advice/tactics he was giving the rock....."You can't keep taking as many punches"

Well **** me - you learn something new every day.

And that seemed to be about it. The full extent of his tactical genius.
