Guess Calzone's win over Hopkins is overrated too, HUUUH ?

He got Popkins holdind on for dear life everytime he got near punching distance; had him faking low shots just to hear the final bell.

And just wait for Kessler to smash Abraham and Froch; how overrated will he be then.:deal

It should go both ways, in that you're right. But Ward is an up and comer, not a guy who people are trying to tout as an ATG.

Well Jones was vastly better against Lacey than was Taylor and Taylor was doing pretty good against Froch and Abraham. Does this also put a nail in the super six tourney which "every" boxing has raved about? Does it diminish Ward's great victory over Kessler? Not IMO!

This is just more of ESB's Calzaghe VS Mayweather smack. Calzaghe's career started out week but ended against the best available including Hopkins. Mayweather's career started out strong and then turned very lackluster until his total domination of Marquez. Legacy wise, I put them both in the same boat but then Mayweather is still fighting and Calzaghe is not.

You mean you actually thought Calzaghe had a legacy anyway?

Whatever legacy he had, it's hardly affected by today's events.

I thought Joe was a very good fighter but he is not what his fans crack up him up to be (slap happy). I thought Bhop won their fight but Joe had a style (very busy) that would give nard a hard time . . . as the old saying goes styles make fights. For anyone who held up the fight with RRJ as a great win was kidding themselves all along. Joe was the best SMW of his era but that era was very weak (just like the K Bros). History will have recorded as one of the best SMW of all time but SMW division was never one of the glory divisions and in many ways the ugly sister of boxing.

    Haha, these threads are ridiculous.

Joe Calzaghe was a great, great fighter, whose style would cause problems for anyone.

Sure Joe didn't beat a prime Roy, nor a prime Hopkins. But neither did they beat a prime Calzaghe. These guys in their prime would all give each other a hell of a fight.

Calzaghe's wins over Hopkins, Eubank and Kessler gives him a good legacy,

Remember that Hopkin's has a close win over Winky and dominations over Tarver, Pavlik, Tinidad, and all be it a washed up Oscar.

Kessler has wins over Beyer, Mundine and over Andrade who Ko'd Lucian Bute

And Danny Green smashed Beyer to pieces the first time they fought,
absolutely distroyed him, only to be DQ because of a headbutt, what
    can I say - Germany!

Aswell, when Mundine beat Green, that was at 166, Danny Green
came in tonight at 180, which is his weight, Mundine wasted
Green to get to 166 to take away his power - which is Greens
    main asset.

Also, I thought Mundine troubled Kessler, Mundine just didnt
follow up with combos, Mundine had him skills wise - just lacked
    output.
