Amazing how that ref kept a seemingly neutral poker face all during those blatant rule violations isn't it? Other refs indicate bias by body language, tone of voice, slight smirking facial expressions. But this guy has it down to a fine art. All he needs is a halo around his head for good measure.
Kind of like he knew before hand thus he was not phased. Two 7 stitch long cuts on Pacquiao from headbutts by Horn in consecutive rounds, does not even warrant a warning, wave that **** off. That's so far beyond incompetence that one has to wonder... about the definition of professional referee.
Obviously they don't give a rats fat ass whether we notice it or not. BTW One thing that strikes me about Horn is that he claims a need to keep his chin tucked in and shoulders high in order to avoid further damage to his throat. That is perfectly understandable and acceptable. However, what is not understandable nor acceptable is that he should also feel compelled to lead with the top of his head, lean into the opponent's face with the top of his head, and use the top of his head like a battering ram since it has absolutely nothing to do with protecting his throat.
Based on the facts of the matter.... the referee failed miserably to act on the roughhousing tactics that Horn used, and he should have jumped right on Horn from the opening bell, but he hardly said a word against it. It was like signalling his official consent to be "careless" with the head, forearms in the face and throat. elbows, low blows, leaning on and trapping/forcing him down, holding and hitting, standing on his foot...... I like a good hard old fashioned throwback fight as much as the next man, and i've been in a few of them myself, but it could never happen if the Ref did his job properly and issued strong warnings with point deductions and the threat of disqualification if it was clear you were not going to stop with the dodgy stuff. Don't blame Horn without first remembering that the ref never said anything against what he was doing in there. Horn only did what he was allowed to do. Sometimes a fighter has to do whatever it takes to beat the other fighter. It was those same tactics that actually gave him the fight. Those tactics sapped the strength of the pac man, who was fighting two others in that ring who were not playing by the same rulebook he was using.
The fighter must have some blame because his plan was to out and out foul his way thru the fight. The ref didn't cause the fouling, Horn did and repeatedly over and over.
If it was as bad a you *******s make out then fair enough, really moron the headbutting was as much to do with one being 4 inches taller and the other a south paw but no sooky *******s need to make up excused why their old man lost, other than being old.. See that massive cut on Horns eye wtf did you think caused that??? *******s sigh....
OMg if u were that concerned about Manny's safety you would be telling him to retire, he is old and way too small for 147. He was like a little boy in there and Horn manhandled him. So stop trying to come up with excuses like the rest of the tards and put Manny first.... Retire Manny..
It's time to accept Manny lost man. You can post 100 more threads. The poll on here had a near 50/50 result for who won the fight. So it says it's a pretty close fight that could have gone either way. Fouling happens in boxing. It's the pro game. Duran fouled, Tyson fouled, Marciano fouled, Hopkins fouled, Ward fouled, Wlad fouled, Salido fouled, etc etc etc. it's not gonna change the decision or change people's mind if you keep posting these threads. People saw the fight. The difference is some people (like me) think fouling is part of the pro game, because it's been around forever. Other people think it's part of the pro game til their favourite fighter loses and they can try and claim the other guy fouling was why he lost.
The thread isn't posted with the intention of changing the decision. This is a discussion forum and it is posted with the purpose of discussing the details involved. Neither is anyone claiming or even insinuating that other boxers don't foul occasionally. In fact, some even become notorious for fouling. Holyfield is infamous for using his head as a third fist. Galotta bit and hit below the belt. However such cases are criticized as they should be. I see no reason why Horn should be an exception.
you're an idiot. this isn't just about manny. it's about the safety and fair treatmentof other fighters young and old.. and as old as manny is, he still won the fight against jeff.. it seems that jeff's roughousing tactics was somehow seen as the "effective agression" instead of blatant allowed/authorized continous fouling that it was. and again where in the rulebooks does it say that CONTINOUS fouling tactics are allowed?
It was moron he won the fight.. OMG stop crying you are looking pathetic.. Do you cry like this when Ward does exactly the same thing??? Really wake up its boxing and if you can't handle it maybe try gardening (roses scratch you know)..
haha. who are you or anyone for that matter to tell anyone who won the boxing match? the judges? haha spare me.. I got my own eyes and knowledge of just what the boxing rules are, and how boxing is scored. and jeff didn't win that fight? you can't even back yourself up with substance, and resort to trolling. I know boxing you little donkey, and anyone who voices the obviousness of jeff's allowed continuous fouling knows their boxing.. you don't.
The judges determined Horn won the fight, thats the facts, anyone say otherwise is wrong... All you are doing is trying to make yourself feel better crying yourself to sleep, fair enough I suppose.. Little donkey??? That the best you can come up with... sigh...
Gotta admit I laughed at the little donkey comment. I wonder how many more whining threads are going to be made over this fight?
