The world title shot he is trying to avoid? Is that what you are talking about? If he really had any intention of fighting Nishioka why would he be calling out Dunne? That just makes no sense.

i think munroe is good but is stepping one step too far towards a very VERY good world champion. he could/would be taken out of his depth...he is only winning his recent fights due to him over extending and just plain windmilling. we are not seeing his full skills and if he is doing this agaisnt beatable opponants...especiailly people who already lost to him. then **** it you are goona look mugged.

does maloney want him to win a few more safe fights or just want to bank a huge world title fight. perosnally i woudl go for a title fight. win or lose you still have some options.

dunne beat a top champion in cordoba and then fought the most avoided man in the division when he could have dropped the belt and fought cruz(ibf) at featherweight , the offer was there for him

munroe will never beat a fighter like cordoba or even come close

i have nothing against munroe he seems like a hard working decent chap but he has awful skills and as soon as he steps up he will be beat

 

If the offer is there Dunne should take it. Where ever the fight is and whoever promotes it. I don't think Dunne is the greatest by no means but am a fan and think he can take Munroe.

Can't understand why Munroe would be going for this fight though. I think the offer is just for show to be honest. Munroe will vacate to fight for WBC and not because he is scared but why will he take the risk.

Here are the only reasons Maloney & Munroe are calling out Dunne.

1. They know Dunne is most likely moving up & that the fight is a no go anyway, this way they can make out like Dunne is "ducking" the fight.

Or

2. They really do want the fight to be made but only because Maloney has no intention of putting Munroe in with Nisioka or any other champ & they see a fight with Dunne as one last big payday.

 

yeah, Maloney paid the WBC sanctioning fees to make it a final eliminator because he has no intention of fighting Nishioka atsch

After that performance against Maludrottu I think Maloney realises that Munroe is way off world level. Why doesn't Munroe take on a top 10 guy to prepare him for this world title shot if he really intends to go for it?

You are talking as if Maludrottu is a bum. He's been one of the best little men in Europe for a long time, who held his own at world level but came up short. Munroe beating him proves he's the best in Europe, as he should be as European champion.

It's amazing Paddy gets his knickers in a twist about this ! So if Munroe isn't good enough why don't him and Dunne fight to find out who is the best in Europe and who should get a title shot? Hell...we all wanna see it. Sign the contracts and lets get it on.

 

He has proved himself at bantamweight & has been at the receiving end of at least 1 absolute gift decision against Kelly, things may have looked a lot different for Maludrottu if he didn't get that decison. He is not a bum but if Munroe was half as good as he makes himself out to be he wouldn't have been outboxed by a guy at Maludrottu's level. If Dunne was struggling against someone like Maludrottu I would say exactly the same thing about him.
