I hear you. Although it's worth pointing out that Foreman may have reigned until Holmes if that Ali thing hadn't happened.
Bernard Hopkins Felix Trinidad Joe Calzaghe Chris Eubank Winky Wright Antonio Tarver Mikkel Kessler Jeff Lacy
Your thread is a bull**** comparison. To me its backfired for you Rumsfield, youve just re-iterated that 2 of B-Hops best wins Wright & Felix where far smaller men. Nice job. And also, Lacy & Kessler have the potential to go into the top 3rd of the list (only Kesser will though).
Another analysis through the eyes of a simpleton. Well done! It seems much more likely that each will 'drop' in stature as time goes by. Neither was anything special. As for Trindiad and Wright being "small", this is nothing more than a pathetic attempt by Calzaghe fans to overcompensate his own lack of credentials. Trinidad was middleweight champion and a 4:1 betting favorite when Hopkins annhilated him. He had just easily dispatched of William Joppy, and nobody--I mean NOBODY was giving Hops much of a chance. As for Winky, he was universally recognized as a P4P elite when Hopkins outclassed him. :smoke
You are one of the biggest simpletons here, your nuthuggery of B-Hop & dismissive manner of some other fighters is quite embarassing. You are one of those who - no matter what you write and if you back up your statements - will never look past their own judgements. Well done.
I'll happily debate the merits of any fighter you choose. I'm not even a Hopkins fan. I like Hopkins and Calzaghe, but the rampant disregard for Hopkins' greatness on this site is nothing short of laughable. :smoke
I can agree that yes, B-Hop's reign gets wrongfully dismissed by some, but i stand by my argument that it is not worthy enough of making him a top 3 MW of all time.:hat
