That's exactly my guess. You could put Wlad in the gym for half the time as Eddie and he'd be twice as cut.

Chambers is in good shape for Chambers.

He should really consider dropping down to cruiserweight. He simply is not a real HW. Very skilled fighter, but his BF% is well at 20%, far off that of a truly conditioned elite athlete.

He could easily make the 200 pound limit and campaign at Cruiserweight successfully

...been barking up this tree for years. He's chasing the money, when he could easily reign at CW setting Hopkins-like title defense records or even unifying.

Agreed. He would dominate at Cruiser. In this division now though, well, its a moot point. He simply isnt going to be the Klitschko brothers.

I admire the spirit wanting to be a HW champ, but its not going to happen.

At CW he could be a lineal titleholder and likely hold the belts for a very long time.

209 is a good weight for Chambers.

He's not a natural heavyweight, his size is better suited for CW.

Chambers not ony shares my last name but his build is very similar to mine. In shape(and that weight for me is decent but I'm better at 200 lbs even being 5'10....it helps that I'm broad shouldered) I look about like that, not really cut but not much excess on me.

Chambers is not there to give you a Larry Merchant man crush, he's there to come in at the best weight for HIM. He's not a big heavyweight so he has no business coming in very heavy.

Chambers and Sam Peter have made very positive strides with their weight for their frames. It just kills me how they always get criticized by guys mashing on their keyboards. We'll see how he performs rather than razz him for not looking like a Playboy centerfold.....not everyone's body looks like that in shape and being in shape doesn't necessarily mean you'll look like the Klitschkos. Alexander Povetkin's build isn't Klitschko-esque but he's in good shape AND he isn't American.

A large part of it is diet. A significant portion of body composition is dependent on diet. For a lot of people on the short end of the genetic stick, no matter how much they work out they will never look shredded unless they eat appropriately. In lower weight-classes guys HAVE to pay attention to diet because they have to make weight. At heavyweight you don't have to pay attention to your food intake nearly as much because making weight isn't an issue. That's how you can get guys like Chambers who, I assure you, put in a ton of work in the gym, but still look soft.

Gotta wonder why has not added some serious muscle over the past couple of years. If done gradually and the right way, it shouldn't cut his agility and speed much. He has to have realized by now that he's at a big disadvantage with any 240 lb fit HW. It certainly wouldn't hurt for him to be 220 and jacked up a little bit
