All this recent talk about comments made between these two recently had me looking back through there respective careers, and it still amazes me that people say Pacquiao has the better resume. Pac's a hof for his weight escapades no doubt but, do people realize he's arguably never beaten the man at any weight to win his 8 world titles

112 he beat Sasakul for his first legit title/the Man was Marc "Too Sharp" Johnson.
122 Ledwaba/ the Man was Ayala
he beat arguably the man at 126/130 in Barrera
135 he beat Diaz the man was Marquez/Casamayor
140 he beat the man in Hatton
147/45 he beat Cotto the man was Mosley
154/50 he beat Margarito the man* at the time was Angulo
Pacquiao has beaten the man at 3/8 weights meanwhile

    130 Hernandez/Corrales was the man
135 Castillo x.2 was the man
140 Hatton was the man although at 147
    147 Baldomir/Mosley was the man
    154 Cotto/Alvarez was/is the Man
Mayweather has beaten the man at every weight, and comparing there best wins lets say for arguments sake that is De La Hoya vs Morales II

    6 weight champ>3 weight champ
coming off ko win>coming off one-sided loss
    comfortable weight>weight drained*
    champ>non title holder
How is Pacquiao considered to have a better resume

iv always said it pacquiaos resume is filled with GREAT NAMES but they were fought at some of the worst points in there career.

i cant justify giving someone p4p #1 spot to someone who is in his prime facing fighters coming off losses (some being by vicious stoppage)

still a first ballot hof and atg for sure and in my opinion he would have beaten 95% of the fighters he had beaten if he faced a primed version

    This thread sucks.

You say "beat Genaro but Corrales was the man." That is not true. In 1998 Genaro was clearly the man. In the couple years after Floyd beat Genaro but before Floyd beat Corrales, Diego became the monster he was at the time.

I have been more on Floyd's side in this debate, but Looking at both of their records I have to give Manny a little more credit for having a few fighters on his resume that Floyd missed.
Taking a close look at both fighters records shows a few Points of interest for both.
    1. 3 fighters floyd missed (score for Manny)
    2. Manny had first half of Career in asia (score for Floyd)
I am not sure how competitive the boxing was in Philippines but not a lot of great fighters from there compared to the states or mexico
    3. Manny more active last 10 years ( score for Manny)
    4. Manny resume has several rematches ( score for floyd)
Rematch means avenge loss or close fight true for manny on both counts.
    5.Floyd undeafeated
    6. The future : Because of their perspective promotional representation, Floyd will undoubtedly have a better record from this point on. Manny is unable to fight anyone from GBP and we all know the list of fighters that floyd can face that manny will never get a shot at. So for now Manny has a few better opponents but Floyd is going to fight Alvarez and then Maybe who? Matthysse, Garcia, Lara, Trout,Alexander,Khan, and manny is stuck with more rematches JMM,Bradley or Lower level guys in top rank. so If Mayweather finishes this Showtime contract with his 0, it will raise floyd's resume above Manny's. I wish that Manny would leave top rank and get himself back in the mix with the best but for now he has so few options it seems hard to see him landing any significant fights.

If you were smart you would realize that I was referring to the fact that assuming he fights the Garica-Mathysse winner afterwards Mayweather would have arguably beaten the man at every weight 130-154 twice, I honestly wan't to hear why some fans feel Pacquaio has the better level of opposition
