Another reason Calzaghe is a legend is because he had a great chin!!

    How many times Robert.
Dawson was at LHW to avoid Joe, he didnt try and make his name at SMW did he. Now Joes retired hes talking of campaigning at SMW. Says it all.
Johnson lost his chance by losing to Woods
Woods was a class below Kessler who Joe fought and was sidelined with injury for a long period
    Ottke wouldnt fight Joe.

Kessler is a more accomplished fighter than Woods, Johnson and Dawson. Ottke wouldnt fight him. Dawson hadnt done much more than Lacy (who Joe beat) when Joe retired. Eubank who Joe beat had done more than the fighters you mention, and Johnson had lost to a fighter Joe beat anyway.

    Now think Robert think

Cocaine tends to diminish pain and give energy, the two things Zaggie was noted for. He was a doping cheater and gets no mention as great or legendary.

Ottke blatantly ducked Calzaghe (along with just about anybody else he could).

Woods and Dawson were at LHW. Can't exactly blmae Calzaghe for not moving up to face them. By the time he was up there, Woods was an old man and Dawson was at his peak. Why would a 37 yr old man move up in weight and face Dawson? That's really asking a lot, although I wish Joe had done it. That said, it's not something you can blame him for. It's a lot like saying Adamek is a ***** for not moving up and facing a Klitschko if they were 30 and he was 40.

Johnson was a fight that was made (multiple times if I rememebr correctly) but injuries prevented it from happening. Also, Johnson was at the journeyman stage in his career at that point, so beating him wouldn't have counted for much.

You're left with Dawson. Would a win over Dawson really cause Calzaghe to skyrocket in your estimation? Really?
