Another reason UFC is beating boxing (From a fan perspective)

Boxing = global fighters from multiple orgs

UFC = mainly Americans fighting amognst themselves. In the UFC's structure we will NEVER see Zuffa fighters versus fedor, Overeem, Fedor.......basically anyone outside Zuffa.

Boxing's structure is far better!!!!!!

 

Fedor, Overeem and Werdum don't even fight for the UFC.

your clearly not a boxing fan at all...or your from ohio..because any boxing fan who wasnt from ohio would know that Calzaghe would of humilated Pavilk in a one sided slap down.

 

it has been in the best..they would only take in a few forign fighter who had allot of crossover appeal..that seems to be changing a bit.

(i am refering to the idea that UFC is largely american)

Maybe it's just my perception but it certainly seems like there are quite a few mid to top level Brazilian fighters in the UFC right now. Wanderlie Silva, Anderson Silva, Demian Maia, Paulo Thiago, Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Rua to name a few. Not too long ago TUF featured American vs. British fighters.

Let's not forget that the Gracie family actually helped build the UFC.

Cheick Kongo is French as well. Andrei Arlovski was a former champ in the UFC. The more I think about it, the more names I think of.

 

well i guess we will "never know" for sure that i couldnt kick the **** out of Klitschko in a boxing match and lesnar in a mma match on the same night..and then go bench press 500 pounds for 20 reps..because i havent tried it...but..im pretty sure it wouldnt be competive if i did get those fights...

thats almost the same as a Kelly P Joe C fight....Joe C would have owned that with 99.9999 percent certanity.

 

yea their are definitly a good number....it would look absurde if their where none...still..i think you have to go that extra mile to get a UFC contract if your a forigner...where as if your american..its just a bit easier..and hence the UFC is a bit heavier on americans then actual talent pool might warrent.

 

That's a vastly different argument than saying that there are only a few foreign fighters.

When you say that it's far more difficult for a non-American to score a UFC contract, what are you basing that on?

 

Yep pointless even fighting then if you say so. Lets just change the name of ESB to Johnston says so. Then the fighters would have to train or end up with diminished faculties due to years of punches to the head
