Tonight we had a terrible robbery in the most corruped boxing country in the world; Italy.

Former two time world title challanger Gianluca Branco (who´s only losses are against Gatti and Cotto) "beat" Finnish Juho Tolppola by TKO in the 9th round in a super lightweight European titlefight.

Tolppola dominated the action from the very beginning and rocked Branco in the 6th round. Tolppola was clearly winning the bout, when the referee Ian Joh-Lewis and the ITALIAN DOCTOR decided to stop the fight due the swelling in the side of Tolppola´s head.

Here is some pictures, where everyone can see that the swelling is in the side of Tolppola´s head. It has no effect in his vision.

That's barely imparing his vision. it's more to the side of the eye whilst over it. A terrible decision.

Surely the real story here is the doctor's moustache? Magnificent.

Well, it is true. Italy is probably the most corrupt country I can think of. Plenty of horrible blatant corruption there.

How in the hell European Boxing Union allows the Italians use and Italian doctor in titlefight, where is an Italian boxer involved?

Oh... I forgot... EBU is based in Italy!

Terrible, terrible robbery. And Mr. Tolppola is the nicest guy and he has worked very hard year after year. It is really heart breaking to see him lose in this fashion. He did the best fight of his life, clearly dominated the action... And this is all he gets. Tolppola´s manager said already that they will do an official protest, but will the Italian EBU accept it? Just heatbreking...

When did Enzo Calzaghe start working as the ringside doctor? I agree with the previous poster!

If you can find a copy of Monzon-Benvenuti II, you'll see a stoppage that was unbelievable.

Something screwy was bound to happen. When's the last time someone sported a mustache like that and wasn't the villain? The only thing he's missing is a cape and top hat.
