Klitschko displayed nothing spectacular during his fight against Thompson. you would you think that maybe he would put on a better performance after his boring fight against Ibragimov.

W.Klitschko is a good HW champion, not a great.

:-( , it's fights like these that make me regret taking Lennox Lewis for granted.

So you blame Wlad for not looking good against a guy in there just trying to survive?

    First to KO Tony Thompson.

It's hard to look good against an akward southpaw with an excellent chin.. he did get the stoppage and barely lost a few rounds.

Like I said, Tony is an awkward fighter just trying to survive.

No matter how bad Tonpson was, Vlad was just a wee bit better - not by much tho!

Yeah, that's not fair. Wlad can't ever win with the haters. And by the way, you do have a nice avatar.

I agree with the thread starter, Wlad was unimpressive in victory again, and some people wonder why Wlad isnt a household name in America, the guy fights scared.

Yeah, he dropped 1 or 2 rounds at most and got the KO, but he's only a wee bit better.

Wow, Wlad can't win with his critics here.

He dominated the fight, won all but MAYBE one round.. and ended it with a KO.

Yeah, he sure sucked it up there.

    ****ing haters.

Thompson really angered me. He didn't have many openings, but when he did, he didn't take them. I know getting hit in the face by Wlad right hands suck, but to me, it would have been better for Thompson to go out on his shield then to just try and survive. Granted he did get Ko'd, but i'd of been more content had Wlad stopped him when Tony still had some fire. TT looked demoralized and you have to give credit to Klitschko for that, he fired quality lead rights and even landed solid body shots to match the ones that Tony was landing. Wladimir's job is to win, not look impressive. He didn't look bad by any means, and he was in a bit of a scrap early, which was good to see because he reacted well to it. I blame Tony for the appearance of the fight. Wlad through a good amount of punches and landed hard shots. Tony fought well for the first half, but like ES said, it looked like Tony was tiring and Wlad picked his spots and got the KO. A win is a win and Wladimir is still the Heavyweight champion. That is all that matters at the end of the day.
