Another impressive victory for Wlad. He K.O's an iron-chinned, huge
and determined southpaw with a perfect right hand shot. Wlad retains
his power deep into a difficult fight. He outclassed Thompson in every
department and the classy American fighter admitted as much. Big
respect to Thompson for surviving those monster shots for so long.
He's way better than I thought he was and should continue to have
    a great career.

I agree with the latter, but you are falling to consider that Klitschko just KO'd a fighter who has never been knocked down in his career.

Bull****. That was an unorthodox southpaw who had never been knocked out before & Wladimir KO'd him with one punch.

Thompson wasn't even trying to survive.

He may be awkard, but he was obviously made for Wlad. He was slow and his face was like a target for right hands. Vladmimir just fails to put on a good performance. He could have taken that guy out easily if he wanted to, but he doesn't have the confidence or the skills.

To me Klitschko is just going through the motions, hes a safety first fighter and It'l take a guy willing to let his hands go and be VERY agressive against him to beat him. Otherwise he'll just use his size to sit on the out side and measure with hhis jab and keep you off him with his right hand. Fighters and Fans alike no his chin aint the greatest why not take a risk of eating his big right to land big shots of your own on his chin. I'd have much more respect for a guy going after Klit and getting stopped than a guy who just goes into survive or last the distance

That's kind of the way I see it now. The problem is nobody wants to risk trading with him anymore and so his last few fights, all we see is opponents trying to survive and doing their best not to get knocked out. Not only does this make for unexciting fights, it also makes Wlad look worse because the fighters he's beating aren't as bad as their ultra conservative gameplans make them look. Hopefully at least Haye, Povetkin, Peter, or whoever at least has the balls to try to actually win instead of trying to lose in the least painful fashion possible.
