I reckon he was loaded against Cotto, reason being, why would he feel compelled to use illegal wraps against mosley who was coming off of a lackluster performance against Mayorga, and losing to Cotto. Surely he'd have felt a greater necessity to cheat against a prime version of Cotto who at the time was the biggest name in the sport?

Just a bit of a different pov which I hadn't really considered. If he thought he needed to cheat to beat Shane, surely he'd have thought a greater need to against the then undefeated Cotto.

    Thoughts?

Because he had a bad training camp had to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time

didnt have to do that vs Cotto

i hope Cotto has a real plan not jsut putting his whole fight on the hope that he only lost cause Margo wrapped

he may be in for a real treat when Margo hits him and he feels the pwoer he felt in the first fight

would Cotto fold realizing what he was banking on was a lie

Great point. The closer the fight gets and the more Cotto makes accusations it looks like his focus isn't where it should be and I think Margo might take it.

I mean save all the drama for post fight and stop making excuses for a past loss right before there could be a period put right beside that KO loss.

At the end of the day....Margo had to land those punches for it to have any effect.

I see what you mean but I see it a different way. Regardless of whether Margarito's gloves were loaded against Cotto or not, Cotto is convinced that they were and feels like he was cheated. That means he'll want to prove a point to Margarito and the boxing world by getting a win in the rematch. It seems like a great motivational tool for Cotto to me.

maybe but it can be his undoing, he doesnt say he has a new plan or learned his lesson from the first fight

its like Atlas and his purple liquid theory on why guys do steroids looking for the quick fix

Cotto doesnt believe he was beat or doesnt wanna believe he cant go toe to toe with Margarito

its easier for him to say he cheated

i think if he fights the same way he did fight one he loses, he cant hurt Antonio and i have never seen Cotto win a fight where his power didnt make the other guy fold

  12. Cotto simply needs to not run out of gas. Even in round 9-10 he was still picking Margarito off and punching him in the face making him miss 5 punches for every on he landed.

End of round ten, Cotto's arms were too heavy to keep up and Margo got in a a freebie that began the end for Cotto. Other than that, it was not as if it was a blow out.. so little corrections here and there and Cotto wins UD.
