If and when he does, you can ***** about it, but until then let's assume the fight is going ahead as planned.

Wladimir is not as injury prone as his brother.

How often has he pulled out of a fight? Exactly, not often at all.

Do you see the intensity on Klitschko's face in my avatar? He's determined to take his place amongst the other All-Time greats as the very best of this generation. It just kills you doesn't it? :yep It would prove your bias & limited knowledge and it's practically inevitable.

Heavyrighthand and a few other Klit huggers seem to want to make this fight out be the best thing to happen in the divsion in over 10 years, guess what no one really cares judging by most peoples posts.

Iggy is probably the worst belt holder at the moment, its not even like its 1 versus 2.
Iggy's claim to fame is beating a 45 yearold Holyfield and a asthma ridden Briggs, and this is a so called unification match? Maybe the divsion really is in worse shape than what I thought.

Iggy beat two fighters who a lot of boxing fans thought would beat
him. A lot of folks figured the massive, monster puncher Briggs would
win. After all, he only had to land one perfect punch. Evander is
like Foreman; an ageless legend who I thought nearly caught and
hurt Iggy a couple times late in the contest. Iggy is no pushover
and has impressive amatuer credentials. I'm going to watch this
fight as I'm sure you will too.

Of course I will be watching this fight, I havent missed a Wlad fight in over 5 years. Heavyrighthand seems to think this fight will have a huge impact on the popularity of the divsion, I disagree. This fight will help the struggling division, but its certainly not the fight to save it.

I personally would rather see Wlad fight Chagaev, Valuev, and most of all a rematch with Peter. Iggy/Wlad is a decent fight, nothing more nothing less.

Unfortunately, Punisher33 the only thing that will have a huge impact
on the popularity of the heavyweight division is if and when a talented
AMERICAN fighter emerges that can credibly challenge Wlad for
supremacy. I see nobody on the horizon. Do You? Boxing fanatics
like everybody on this terrific website want to see the fights you
pointed out but the average fan has no idea who those eastern-
euro dudes are and Peter is damaged goods. He won't diet properly.
He was magnificent in his fight with Wlad and he was 15 to 20lb.
lighter!!! He reminds me of two other talented heavys--Kirk Johnson
and David Tua; they eat too much!!! Anyhow we've got a unification
fight and maybe it will force the other pretenders to call Wlad
out if he beats Iggy and some excitement will return to the division.

I agree with you there, an american fighter with personality and power would really improve the popularity of the division, I think most people are waiting for the second coming of Tyson, to be honest I doubt I will be alive to see it.

I think the divsion does have talent, guys like Chagaev, Povetkin, Peter, and Wlad are all pretty exciting to watch for the most part, the problem is there not fighting each other, yes Peter and Wlad fought, but alot of people like myself want to see it again because we werent convinced that Wlad would be able to beat him again. All Im saying is Iggy/Wlad is nothing to write home about, and its nothing more than just another Wlad fight to me.

That's an interesting commentary, especially coming from you, a
noted Wlad chin-critic. I saw Sultan decimate a fighter with a single
punch or two just prior to the Briggs fight. This Sultan dude has
some serious power at least against B-level fighters and is a good
in-fighter. No fight concerning Wlad is "just another fight to me."
I'm always concerned that they will penetrate his much improved
defense which has improved under the tutlelidge of Steward.
It's weird but I think you have more faith in Wlad's beard than I.

The WBO belt means nothing, beating Ibragamov does though, he holds the line of victory over wlad courtesy of beating the guy who beat the guy who beat Brewster. This has more relevance to avenging that defeat than beating the one eyed shell of Brewster. Other than that this brings us nowhere near a unified champ.
Wlad will retire soon anyway, he is a smart man and if he did win the other belts he wont hang about and its all going to be wide open again real soon.
