    Anyone else cringe at the way he does his announcements - totally over the top and takes things too far with his "champion of the woooooooooooooooooooooooooooorld".

    Even when he does the Darts the guy just takes things far too far and makes himself look like an amateur.

    I think he's quite professional.

    Ok he's not in the buffman or jimmy's league but who is?

    Take him over Burdis anyday of the week.

    TBH he's been around for years and been class and pretty much steady. Recently he seems to be trying a tad to hard. It could be he's been asked to bring a little more razzle and dazzle to his announcing and he's trying and failing.

    He seems a really good guy from what i've seen of him and like others he's a boxing man and loves the sport. I think he's good but recently he's been poor i must admit a few slip ups and a few :lol: moments.

    John is by far the best in the business and a gentleman who's raised thousands for various charities.

    He is so over the top it makes me want to hide behind my pillow

    Finally someone agrees with me!

    He does make too much of an effort that results in him sounding un-natural, you can tell he totally practices annonces the names too :lol:

    Mate nobody can convince me otherwise. Mcdonald is so over the top its embarrassing, i have always thought this :deal

    He's probably the best in the UK- the guys on Boxnation aren't much cop and Channel 5's announcer isn't the best.

    Maybe thats because one was Champion of the world and one was just from Hammersmith. :patsch

    One was the champion of the world and other was the number one contender.

    Why stop at the announcer. Groves had to walk in first while Carl gets to put his feet up for an extra 5 minutes. Clearly biased towards the Champ again. Poor George, I wonder how he coped with it all.

    Did i say he was from Champ of the world? Learn to read.
