Anselmo Moreno Is The Closest Thing We Have To Pernell Whitacker today.

Guillermo Rigondeaux is the one I consider being the closest thing to Sweet Pea, but I can see Moreno being given that label as well.

Both are fun to watch if you can appreciate the sweet science.

Rigo is not offensive minded by nature, he had to do that in recent fights because the public demanded it and they labeled him has a boring fighter. He'd rather box and counterpunch all night. He does not like to initiate the attack, thats why Rico Ramos lasted as long as he did, because Rigo kept waiting for Ramos to initiate an attack so he could counter, but Ramos was real shy in that fight.

 

What does that have to do with anything. He was comparing defensive skills.
