Let's put this in perspective. Wlad doesn't need Haye. Haye is nobody. In the boxing history books Haye will go down as a pimple on the arse of nothing.

Yes, Wlad would like to stomp the **** out of Haye like he deserves. But he wont let a total ****stick like Haye insult him and accept stupid offers just so he can do that.

Wlad turns his back on Haye, and Haye remains the nobody that he is.

What is Wlad going to prove by taking the fight? Everyone already knows he has won before the fight has began anyway.

Wlad's offer of 50/50 is way too generous. Way, way too generous. All it has done is show the boxing world that Haye is the gutless ***** that most sensible people have been saying he is for a while now - while giving Haye an inflated sense of his worth.

Haye asking for more than 50% can only be explained by two things:

1) He is insane.
2) He doesn't want the fight.

Defending Haye asking for more than 50% is only explained by one thing:

Of course, because the Klitschkos are known for being gererous with their dealings.... Haye is being offered 50% for a reason.
Look did you even watch the Booth interview on Sky Rushman? Even after the Ruiz fight you could tell he was still angry about the way he and Haye were treated first time around, the contempt he faced obviously still grinds with him.
K2 are tough negotiators, history has shown us that. Unfortunatly for them the one negotiation that brings them unification and the biggest $$ isn't going to be so easy.

Personally I still believe a fight vs Vitali, Wlad or both will happen. The only issue I believe is that Vitali today is the weaker link, if, and it's a big if, he loses to Haye they're right up **** creek with regards to negotiations with Wlad.

 

As no one actually knows the facts, everything in this thread is speculation or rumour. So people need to stop representing their opinions as fact.

When it comes down to it of course Wlad gets more than 50% of the money. He is the real champ of the division and has the HW pedigree over the past decade. So I would be shcoked if David was asking for 50% or more of the money.

Its all boiling down to splits of money from certain markets. Most namely the EE, UK and US markets. I imagine the orignial deals would have Wlad keep EE money, Haye the UK share and probably 70 - 30 split to Wlad on US money.

Since those earlier negotiations Haye's stock has increased due to winning a title and beating a another known ex champ. And now he isn't going to accept the same contracts the other journeyman HW's in the division would jump at.

No one is scared of anyone. It comes down to cold hard cash.........

 

I've been a Haye fan for a very very long time, indeed I even got an article comparing him and Audley onto ESB, but he is not impressing at all with this negotiating. Haye ought to accept anything upwards of 45-55 overall (in favour of the Klitschko) to fight either of them; or if they wanted, then they could split out more of the UK revenue to Haye, and the German revenue to the Klitschko.

As it is, Haye seems to be fairly happy where he is: he's a heavyweight champion, he's made millions, and he can make millions more even without fighting either of them, or perhaps waiting until they start to decline. With the passing time, it seems that his great desire to fight them has been somewhat sated by achieving global fame and riches without having to get in the ring with the 2 hardest opponents this era has to offer.

 

You're talking out your ass here. There was no medical evidence of an injury given to Klitschko's team, but they did not pursue Haye for breach of contract because the event still managed to go forward with Chagaev on the originally scheduled date. You tell me when and where they said "they would take him to court if he didnt provide medical evidence".

Had Chagaev not signed to fill in, K2 certainly would have suffered substantial financial losses, to which Haye would have been directly liable for. Chagaev saved Hayes ass big time.

They entered negotiations again with Haye despite the lie, because they understood it was due to Setanta going under that the whole back injury was fabricated. It's a huge money fight and a unification, of course they're going to try again to make it happen, but of course they are going to exercise more caution.

Wlad's offer was more than fair. Haye or his people are just figuring they have nothing to lose and arguably only to gain by postponing the fight. The Klits are most likely not going to lose in the foreseeable future so as long as Haye wins his fights (and if he's fighting guys like audley and ruiz that's doable), the money will always be there and likely grow. Also, even if one somehow manages to lose or gets injured or whatever, there's two Klits to chose from. Also, the klits may deteriorate a little with age in the interim thereby increasing haye's chances of winning. Finally, Haye can keep making good money fighting weak contenders and not have to risk a beating by either klit
