Scumbags. They'll 100% get caught though. Such a shame title fight off as i could see Crolla beating Abril, certainly wasn't out of the question. Will he still have a shot on his return? I hope so but some of Eddie Hearns comments in the papers made it look like he has to start again. Too early to know but hope he can reschedule, be a shame to lose it completely over these pr"*ks. Says a lot about his character as well- he didn't have to intervene.. A lot wouldn't have.

I hope he makes a full recovery, shocking news. Cowardly scummy ****s need done a real damage. Seems a great wee guy too. He has a suspected fractured skull, just pray he makes a full recovery and can box again.

Agree with what has been said already about the scum who did this. House robbing is low, at this time of year it just makes it worse! Horrible human beings!

You are right should have called the police but he prob saw them and thought being a fighter he could take them and would have no doubt except no one burgles houses without a weapon, lucky he wasnt stabbed

Most importantly I hope he makes a full and fast recovery and also if he does get back to full fitness I hope that Hearn is able to get him that fight against Abril and he thoroughly deserves it. Oh and top bloke too

i know the focus is on anthonys recovery , but wouldnt of surprised me if matchroom could have pushed another lightweight in line for a crack at Abril ie: Burns Mitchell etc as they are in training camp at present
