At the past he is going, in 3 years AJ might be ready for WK.

Frustrates me when people call for him to be in with a live opponent, he has had 10 fights for christs sake, what do you want him to do, jump in with Kiltschko?

For a relative novice Johnson is a quality opponent, but AJ will win comfortably, wouldn't be surprised if its a mid round stoppage

AJ looks to be the real deal, yet is still young enough to be matched relatively cautiously and take his time preparing for his shot at the worlds best

I agree. I don't know what people expect from Joshua when he's only had 10 fights and only been a pro just over a year.

Fury fought him in his 20th fight, Chisora in his 24th. Wlad's 11th fight was a guy with a 9-5-1 record, Vitali a guy with a 4-3-3 record.

AJ is being brought along a pretty fast pace, Johnson may be past his best but he is tough, durable and a proven gate keeper.

I really like what Im seeing with AJ's development. I hope he won't disappoint. He seems humble and hard working, hope he takes one step at a time and steps up at the right moment.

Joshua is never gonna stop him. Johnson is just gonna hide behind his very tight and admittedly highly effective guard and lose a lopsided decision like he always does. He literally possesses nothing other than a very good defense. Everyone and their mother can outpoint him by simply remaining active throughout the fight.

    Totally Agree

The opponents that Joshua has been facing in his first 10 pro fights were better than the people Lewis, Tyson, Wlad and Vitali fought in there 10 pro fights.

Joshua is being moved along fine IMO.

Mike Tyson was 18 years old not 25 and not an Olympic gold winner.
Tyson also had his first 10 fights in 7 months.
you probably shouldnt compare him to Tyson :deal

But I agree, AJ is very active and being brought along well

Josh will stop him via British ref

When he has Johnson on the ropes and starts unloading the combos, the ref will wave it off.

By this time it'll probably be like 7 rds to nil to Josh and even though the stoppage will be BS, It'll be justified due to Johnson's lack of defending himself.

Look at the opponents people have to fight to get a shot at Wlad. Pulev beat Thompson, Ustinov and Dimitrenko and that was considered decent level of competition. Does anyone seriously believe Joshua couldn't beat any of them after as few more fights? The point is as long as he is fighting an advancing and differentiating level of opposition, it doesn't matter about ranked opponents, it's about progression. There is such a leap in competition anyone ccan get the shot, it's about the development at this stage of his career. He's 25, very young for the weight class, no reason to rush him too much but equally as important not to undermatch him.

I will be impressed if Joshua can stop him. Johnson has plenty of notice and has never been stopped so on paper it will be a great achievement if Anthony Joshua can stop him.
