I doubt Haye's had a proper training camp since 2013/'14 when he pulled out from the Fury fights with "career ending injuries".

 

This will be his first fight with Salas, after leaving Shane McGuigan. His issues aside, wonder if that will make any difference?

 

10th December being reported today, still a Sunday...

See what happens re: new trainer, unlikely to be able to teach him anything at this stage but hopefully gets him focussed on fundamentals and respecting his opponent rather than swinging wildly and walking him down...as soon as he stopped and started to use his jab he looked in control...

 

I don't think a Fury fan is now in ANY position to even bring up the subject of Hayes 'pullouts'.

 

Why not ? They should all be criticized. You mistake me too much for a "Fury fan" simply because I give Tyson Fury his credit for what he did against Wlad in Dusseldorf, and acknowledge the achievement.
As a chronically deluded "Haye fan" you don't understand that, since most of what you deal in is fantasy (eg. Haye being an elite HW who's going to clean up the division) rather than concrete achievements and realistic expectations.

My comment wasn't intended to highlight the "pull outs" anyway. I'm talking about his fragile body rather than the pull-outs. I actually think Haye was telling the truth when he said "career ending injuries", although technically his career still continues, he knows he's never going to be a top heavyweight. The question now is whether he truly believes he can get past Tony Bellew !

 

David Haye needs to understand that the number one tool in boxing is the fist not his mouth, while you were ranting in major interviews, press conferences and interviews Tony Bellew was working so hard to put up a good fight. It would be a great fight to watch.

 

Haye needs a new approach to training.

He should go across to America and train with people who train the UFC fighter GSP when it comes to S&C.

They use amazing pieces of equipment which would be tailor-made for David's style, but without the soreness & DOMS that comes with training. He needs super low impact training like that or Triathlon-based training.

Weights, explosive movements like Jumps etc are all out of the question for someone like Haye.

Haye is weird. In fighting terms he has next to no miles on his body like say Hatton did. He is remarkably fresh, IMHO. But his body won't let him do the prep, but his mind wants to. It's as of his tendons, ligaments etc are made of elastic or are on their deathbed. He's in a weird spot.

 

I can imagine how big headed Hayes become with his fancy new promotion I doubt he'll be able to train seriously for this fight he'll be too distracted

 

Do you reckon he’ll be willing to evolve his style though with what his body can cope with mate, or do you suspect he might go back out there and look for that quick devastating knockout?

 

I agree mate. It’s in his fighting DNA, he does love a good ruck. I suspect that will it essentially being an eliminator for the world title, he will try to shut Bellew out on the edge of his jab. It’s his last big opportunity to become a world champion again. He has to use his head and not his ego.
