Anthony Bonsante... Never seen anything like that!

Bonsante was an idiot, but Teddy had a point: When the ref saw Bonsante jump up, clear headed, he could have let the fight go on. He was only half way through waving it off anyway, and Bonsante had 4 seconds left. Playing possum is still stupid, but the ref should have used slightly better discretion. He was put in a bad spot, of course.

I've never understood why referees stop counting midway through the count like that. Why not just wait the extra four seconds for a clean knockout. What's the ref going to do with the time if he stops it? Fumble around with the gumshield. Bonsante was ready to go on a shooting spree. I don't blame him.

 

no doubt, if a guy goes down like that I would expect the ref to not even bother counting.

They brought in a guy who had been knocked out 8 times in his last 13 fight. I don't care if he's 19. He's 9-0. They should have at least put him in there with someone with a pulse.

Friday Night Fights cards typically suck, but at least we sometimes get a competitive main event. These Montreal cards are always a joke from the first fight to the last fight.

 

At least put him in with a guy that will take a punch and not go down to a knee for a TKO. Why even bother putting that **** on TV, it is an embarrasment.

 

Yeah like that doesn't happen in the USA.

90% of ESPN cards are worst then the ones from Montreal.
