Both Cecace and Wood were dreadful. It looked like an underground amateur boxing match.

For a guy who doesn’t hit hard, Cacace kinda seems like he hits hard. Just saying.

Good performance by him tonight. I like him.

Carl Frampton said years ago the hardest puncher he ever faced was Cacace and that was in sparring when they were both trained by Shane McGuigan, the lad punches hard, hes not one punch KO type of fighter but he can crack. That bodyshot towards the end was sickening, it was why Wood ran away and didn't want to continue.

Good from Davidson to throw the towel, Wood didn't complain he was done.

How would Ford fare against Cacace?

Well I hope your focus is now on a positive on this lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, squire. Understandable that it's taken all this time to regain the full love of boxing after the Times Square debacle...

And yes, the afore mentioned CCTV footage of our very first encounter I've now shared with the forum could be considered god-like.( It may look like a USA mid west filming location in the footage, but it was actually outside the aptly named 'The Famous C0ck ' Tavern adjacent to Highbury & Islington station ). ;)

That's the kind of encounter that could happen way back then between then turf rivals.

Needless to say, not only have we've sorted our differences, and between us we now run the whole of London and the Home counties under the name S & S A ( Serge & Stanton Amalgamated).

Supplying Tax and VAT free, fine music, wines & all alcoholic beverages, luxury ladies lingerie and nylons plus the most splendid quality Cocaine one could possibly pass through one's nostrils ...

All with free shipping and a 10% discount to all forum members.

15% on RBR nights for the remainder of May.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9

Wood bouncing in and out of range, occasionally getting him on the ropes, and working his arms over. Trying to establish his jab, but it's being parried constantly by Anto. Cacace walks him into several clean flush counters, then presses the pace late snapping his head back with a right and landing some nasty hooks to the body.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9
    Round 2 Wood 10-9

Wood jabbing a hell of a lot, leaping in and landing rights here and there, Cacace spending too much time looking for the perfect counter, he lands a heavy jab and then a counter right, but Wood seals the round with a hook late.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9
    Round 2 Wood 10-9
    Round 3 Cacace 10-9

Wood with a ton of nervous energy, eaps right into a straight to the forehead from Cacace which snaps his head back, which emboldens Anto, who starts walking him down and landing some heavy uppercuts and hooks around the guard.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9
    Round 2 Wood 10-9
    Round 3 Cacace 10-9
    Round 4 Wood 10-9

Solid round from Wood, still didn't get a hell of a lot done, Cacace dicking around looking for a clean counter. Wood taking advantage, lands a heavy uppercut and some good rights.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9
    Round 2 Wood 10-9
    Round 3 Cacace 10-9
    Round 4 Wood 10-9
    Round 5 Cacace 10-9
    Round 6 Cacace 10-9

Round 5 was super tactical, neither man landed much clean. Anthony with the sneakier and cleaner work. Round 6 was very definitive, with Anthony landing some heavy counters one of which hurt Wood late, he followed up with some combinations but Wood rode it out.

    Round 1 Cacace 10-9
    Round 2 Wood 10-9
    Round 3 Cacace 10-9
    Round 4 Wood 10-9
    Round 5 Cacace 10-9
    Round 6 Cacace 10-9
    Round 7 Cacace 10-9
    Round 8 Cacace 10-9
Round 9 Cacace wins by TKO

Round 7 and 8 were filled with nervous energy and sloppy affairs, with Anto landing the sneakier and cleaner work, he seemed to stun him a little bit late in the 8th. And we all know what happened in the 9th...

I'm a huge fan of Leigh Wood, but I might have even been too generous in giving him the second round. Anyone who gave him more than two or three rounds is delusional.
