Looks like the Brits are turning over a new leaf with the fair scores in fights where you can easily give it to the homie.

I am absolutely convinced Conor Benn is hiding glass.

Have a look at his record and the fighters he has faced, not one of them can punch whatsoever.

 

Suprised that Mimoune won, congrats to the new euro champ.

 

Maybe put Benn in with somebody who can actually fight back. He needs to be stepped up because this is pointless and these types of "fights" shouldn't be on live TV.


And make no mistake, I am a huge Nigel Benn fan, he is actually my favourite fighter of all time.. I'm not saying he is the best of all time or anything like that before I get slaughtered.

So I'm not hating on Conor at all, I just think this is all a little unsavoury, watching completely overmatch fighters getting laid out by Benn in some weak attempt to make him look a savage like his Father.

 

This is exactly what they are doing. I expect Benn to be very carefully matched for the foreseeable future so they can create this "destroyer" illusion and live up to him taking his fathers nickname.

Numerous people have mentioned this loads of times on here. These types of mismatches are pointless, as nothing is learned from them, and there is little or no risk of having to face or overcome adversity in these fights. As a result, when guys like Conor Benn -- guys who have been feasting on soft touches -- are stepped up in level (say, British, in Conor's case) and finally do face adversity and come up against an opponent who is punching back at them with bad intentions, they (in this case, Conor Benn) will be found desperately wanting due to not having those valuable lessons from actual learning fights in the bank.

 

Absolutely Bang On.

 

You've pointed this out the last three or four times Conor has fought now. Which is why I think he gets ironed out as soon as he is moved up to anywhere near British or Commonwealth level.
