Co-headlining the Ring IV: Night of Champions card along with Haney vs. Norman in Riyadh on November 22nd. At stake will be the vacant WBC and the WBA "regular" light heavyweight title (1st defense of Benavidez, who is also WBC interim champion and number two contender). Yarde is ranked #5 by the WBC and #3 by the WBA. Zero common opponents, despite being mainstays of the light heavyweight scene in tandem for the last decade. Yarde is six years older and two inches shorter, with 6cm less reach. Both men have thirty bouts, with Benavidez winning all of his and Yarde losing three (but having a higher percentage of victory by KO - 88%, compared with Benavidez's 80%).
Yarde and his trainer Tunde lack the boxing brains to put together tactics or develop a gameplan to beat Benavidez. Benavidez can watch Yarde's previous fights and know exactly what he is going to do, and develop a gameplan to completely neutralize Yarde. Its going to be a comfortable UD for Benavidez and possibly a late stoppage. It is good that Yarde is getting another chance but he is never going to win a world title, father time is going to see to that. This will be his last chance fighting for one.
