He hits WAY harder than Andrade. He'd make those single shots count. Also Benavidez won't be as trigger happy.

David would be a fool to take a Morrell fight before Canelo.

Canelo doesn't have a twelve round gas tank. Sure, I'll agree Canelo will look good for 4-5 rounds but unless he can hurt David, Benavidez will take over the second half of the fight. I think it's a bad style match-up for Canelo.

Canelo is the better, more accomplished fighter right now but that doesn't mean he beats DB. As the cliche goes, styles make fights.

After that, Canelo will be salivating.

Morrell would clean out the whole division.

I was impressed, he was getting slicked out by Andrade, then made adjustments and administered a beatdown. Canelo-Benevidez is Kong vs GODZILLA.

You were going to post that regardless of how the fight turned out. Canelo has had five years to fight Benavidez and ducked him, but now he's "salivating".

    Smh...

    Yet he won't fight him.

These type of fighters make him look young.

Benavidez by KO was the only damn bet I won tonight, sadly it didn't even cover my losses. I was 50/50 with it going the distance.

I'm still surprised Andrade used the gameplan that he did, I fully expected him to try to move and box with DB. Racking up points was his only real path to victory. Did he really think he was going to KO him out? That seemed like his gameplan and the expected result of him getting KO'd himself happened.

He was much quicker and stronger than he was against Plant. Even when Andrade had the advantage early, Benavidez was still touching him and staying in range. Because he closed in early, it really became just a matter of time before he mowed him down.

Andrade would've been better off stinking it out for 4-5 rounds and seeing if Benavidez would become frustrated. I'm glad he didn't, though, because it made for a highly entertaining fight.

I don't think canelo has enough, either power or volume, to slow benevidez down.

Does benevidez have trouble making 168? If so I'd try and wait him out till he has to move up to 175.

Otherwise it would be similar to tonight. Benevidez is just too big and too strong @ 168. The caveat being that canelo is canelo, so who knows.

I'm not even saying he would beat Benavidez; it would just be a stupid risk to take if the bag is already secured.
