The same goes in reverse, as we're seeing with Kovalev-Stevenson.

I dont care what network the fights are on. Id just rather see them get made.

 

What are we seeing with Kovalev-Stevenson though?

The more the two sides play PR games like the recent purse bid fiasco, the more it tells me HBO don't want a Haymon-endorsed Stevenson back on their network. And Kovalev is HBO-exclusive.

 

We're seeing one side wanting it to go to a purse bid, like 100s of other fights have gone when 2 sides cant reach an agreement.

We're seeing the other side not want to do it, because they dont want to fight on another network.

You cant complain about Haymon fighters not fighting on HBO, and then not the same about HBO fighters not fighting on one of the half dozen networks Haymon fighters fight on.

It works both ways. Thats why purse bids are still useful in this day and age to get fights like this on.

 

Badou has no chin, unfortunately.

 

It is a good card for a Friday night :good

 

...which is why the fight won't happen unless we see some drastic changes.

HBO & Haymon are equally guilty in most cases.

 

I know Badou, I've trained with him in the past, he's a good boxer and a good person, but he doesn't have a very good chin, I think he's got way too skinny legs, always have.

BUT, his biggest problem is he gets intimidated, he was intimidated by Matt Korobov in the amateurs, and looking at his body language, he was intimidated here also.

I see him fighting very scared, take it as you want.

 

The nice thing is I have no expectations at all for these cards so if I see some fireworks, all the better. Let's see an upset!
