Naturally, there is quite a lot of talk about older brother Andre, who seems to be one or two steps away from a title shot at 168. However, I recall reading a couple years ago that many thought, before his illness, that Anthony was perhaps the better prospect. Now that he is back and fighting regularly, I'm surprised that there isn't more hype about his potential. Just judging on the records, it looks like he might have more power than his older brother (18-0 with 13 KOs v. 17-0 with 14 KOs). It will be interesting to see how these guys interact with one another as they both develop given that they are in the same division. He's just another name to add to the absolutely stacked young talent pool at 160-168 (Lara, Korobov, Jacobs, Andrade, Ward, And. Dirrell, etc.).
You're right about that; however, such concerns have not stopped a great deal of discussion of some of the other names I mentioned at the end. Given his absence, I think it's appropriate to view Anthony Dirrell as being at a similar stage of development as some of the guys with fewer professional fights.
