I'm not a fan of Anthony Fowler and have been very critical of him as a boxer- with good reason too. He's a tough man who's commitment to the sport is unquestionable but a very average fighter when all is said and done. He won't achieve anything meaningful in boxing and has fallen short of expectations- but has made good money along the way as he turned pro at the right time just when domestic boxing was underdoing one of its temporary resurgences on the back of the AJ hype train. Having said that though.. Many people are just too hard on him. He's not a bad person and doing some good with perhaps slightly questionable motives is better than not doing good at all. He comes across to me as someone who is desperate to be popular, lacks self awareness and ass odd as it sounds lacks self esteem too. I think he craves attention and a pat on the back. That's hardly the crime of the century, and to me it does not warrant some of the abuse and criticism he gets. There are far, far worse people in boxing than Anthony Fowler. Fowler is at worst misguided and a little cringe worthy at times. I think his heart is in the right place and if he is able to help people and does so good on him.

I seen he tweeted the other day advising people who are down and skint, to keep their spirits up as if they learn about finance they may have money next Xmas. It was not the smartest tweet.
I think Fowler is just a little bit thick. The guy is above average in most departments of boxing. He has very good tools, he only really lacks IQ. That’s inside and outside of the ring lol. I feel like he should be beating Beefy and Fitzgerald on pure athleticism and he obviously has a decent amateur pedigree Fitzgerald fight was 50/50 even with the kd could have gone either way. Fowler was just a bit eager and wreckless at times and didn’t use his length well enough. Beefy fight he started well using his speed but Beefy just ended up manhandling him lol. I think Fowler didn’t know how to deal with that. He really shouldn’t be getting pushed around and bullied by Beefy considering the size of him. I think the pressure just ate him up. Don’t think he would ever beat Beefy now mind you because Beefy is just too smart and speed, power and size wouldn’t be enough of an advantage. Beefy imo is one of the most high IQ fighters in the UK. He doesn’t have the physical gifts but he knows his strengths and abilities so well. He can find a way to win.
I'd go as far as saying Beefy has one of the best IQs in world boxing. Quite limited in terms of skills sets but to have achieved what he has is commendable. I think it's his heart and spirit that gives him an extra edge.
British level footwork imo, not terrible but not abysmal. His feet get him where he wants to be and well balanced. He is just thick as a plank.
Remember that opponent he fought who appeared to think the canvas was made of ice? Fowler's not a bad guy, he's just a bit of an idiot.
