I agree.... But are you rating these commonwealth champs purely on how they looked AT THE TIME, or are you viewing them in hindsight a bit as well? I mean it's very hard not to that at least a little.... I'd say Joshua is definitely far better than the fat, undisciplined Fury we saw against Chisora I already, no doubt.... But you've got to get Fury some credit for his ability when he has his head screwed on properly. I know you've got a penchant for hating Fury, but you can't say he's without skill.

I clarified that in a response to Mac on the last page. edit: the very post you quoted, in fact!

The gap between 9/12/15 Joshua and 7/23/11 fury is much wider than what exists between them now, but I still tip Joshua to beat him if they met, say, next week. :good It just wouldn't be quite as easy, as yes, I can admit, Fury has improved in many areas.

Akinwande get's a lot of hate... But he clearly had some ability. When he won the commonwealth, he did so by beating Jimmy Thunder, a hard hitting journeyman who'd probably flatten most guys Joshua has been in with, and drew with Schultz(he went on to beat Schultz in his next fight) So I think there's a case for Akinwande as well, he's being overlooked here a bit. Although it is important to note that his was a little further on in his career when he won the commonwealth than Joshua.

And yeah...I just skimmed through that post. Speed reading/skimming isn't always the best thing to do  Sometimes you miss important details.

Which is why I said Wilder would beat them all too. And Fury wouldn't make it past round 2 against Joshua.

Akinwande, Fury, and Chisora at his peak all do Wilder in. :deal

Before the end of the year he will fight Dillian Whyte - a guy he lost to as an amateur and the first guy he fights who's actually a top 50 and not a stepping stone kind of no-hoper.

That fight will reveal a lot about Joshua, both mentally and skill-wise.

You're saying my words aren't precious textual gold to be pored over like fine poetry? :verysad

Not even when deftly mixing together disparate metaphors into a sumptuous blend like All-Spice, or flowing as seamlessly as the daily suggestions of Spotify playlist?

It's called laziness man... I have a very bad habit of speed reading/skimming, and sometimes I miss important details. Especially after a night of heavy drinking.
