Not surprised. He said he wanted 3 fights this year, wonder who it'll be

    Hilarious

The guy is full of rubbish

"AJ I want you next".. After another tune up I won't mention in front of this huge crowd"

    AJ knew it

Yeah mate AJ has psychic abilities.

more like AJ dodged it first with Hearn confirming they were not fighting Fury next so Fury moved on. Anything to say that AJ didn’t just bottle the best moment he could have accepted the fight.

I'm not surprised if this turns out to be correct
Before facing Wilder for the 2nd time, Fury had a couple of tune ups.
Before Usyk 1, Fury had a couple of tune ups

I recall Fury calling out Usyk after a bout but then faced Ngannou next.

I guess they both want to be right before facing the other

Which if the case, fair enough but Fury has tried portraying AJ as not accepting when he clearly wanted another fight himself

Never mind the tune up he just took

    Nobody said he does

However he clearly knows Fury is full of lies so why trust him

Moved on? Despite only days ago him telling the world it's AJ or nobody

    Course he has

If it is correct about another tune up it would certainly look that way to me, but that would just be my worthless opinion.
I have always felt Fury likes things to be right for him and on his terms.
He is in a position where probably more often than not, he can have it his way.
He pulled out of the Wladimir rematch a couple of times
    I wasn't surprised the fight didn't happen
    See 13:40 - 15min

He didn't go straight in to an immediate return with Wilder
There were delays before their third fight

    He called out Usyk
    This content is protected

    But didn't fight him next
    I wasn't surprised
At the press after fight started saying if for some reason the fight doesn't happen
I was wondering why it may not happen as Usyk and joshua had fought twice and Usyk was ringside

I felt the Usyk return would be tough for Fury as I think he probably felt he had to go through with that rematch at that set time or Usyk may move on.
I felt if Fury won that he may have pulled out or delayed the rematch or even retired again.

With Joshua I feel they are both similar big attractions. Both very accomplished and without any titles don't feel one really holds much above the other

I don't think either fears the other
They are both great British HWs
Just think things have to be right

That's not fair. Do you expect Fury to stay inactive until December while he waits for AJ? AJ hasn't even announced who his tune up is yet, and this fight is supposed to happen in a couple of months isn't it?

In saying that, this is exactly the sort of thing I expected from both fighters trying to build hype by squeezing more PPV money out of the public.

Fury just had his tune up
    It's very fair

Esp if we hold AJ to the same standards

    Flip the scenario around slightly
Do we think it's fair to call out a fighter that nearly died recently?

Do you think it's fair for Fury to take a tune up but not allow AJ to and they portray him as a coward because of it?

    Double standards in play

Not exactly the first time Fury's pulled crap like this
He challenged him directly after the 2nd Uysk loss too

I love watching him box but he is a knob

I've got nothing against AJ having a tune up. Expecting Fury to sit there and do nothing in the meantime makes zero sense to me. If he wants another fight to fill in the time, why not?

And AJ recovered fine physically and is training with Usyk (lets be real here, nobody forced him and his mates to go speeding) and sat ringside at a event where he knew he'd be called out. If AJ doesn't want to fight because of his accident, fair play to him, but there's only so long you can use that as a crutch for. Either **** or get off the pot.

From what I can see Fury has accepted that AJ is having a tune up, and will have another while he waits for that to happen. That isn't unreasonable.

Fella, cmon forced them to go speeding?that's a ridiculous statement
And how do you know he has recovered physically? You assuming he has, the guy hasn't even sparred yet

It's come to light he was made aware the call out would happen the night itself
Do you think he should have left at that point then? Now before you answer think about how Fury would have spun that afterwards

Eddie Hearn was very clear, very very clear in the weeks before that fight there would be a tune up type fight
Fury had his after 16 months out the ring but wasn't happy with AJ doing similar
Its a total power play and AJ didn't follow the script

Fury had very little choice other than to accept AJs wish as its either AJ or he goes on with younger fighters that might beat him up
If he has accepted it, it's begrudgingly as its clearly not what he wanted
He likes the deck stacked in his favour but can't really do it this time around as he is finding out

He came out only last week saying AJ or nobody has even said if AJ isn't next that's it he is finished

Look the guy can have 27 tune ups, I couldn't care less but his bollocks will get called out when he tries to spin things like AJ is a coward etc because he wants a tune up, literally hours after he himself had a bloody tune up only to seemingly fancy another

It's a fact. They went speeding, they crashed. The driver was charged for reckless driving as well IIRC.

Fury doesn't have to really accept anything. He always has Usyk 3 for a final cashout if he wants it, and evidently people will still pay to see him beat up lumps like Mahkmudov (personally I didn't pay to see that, waste of money imo).

Fury also retires every 5 minutes. I take what he says with a grain of salt with the rare exception of his recent challenge (and that's only because Turki is backing it).

So I'm not entirely sure what your issue is, would you rather he kept his ever-shifting word and retired rather than fight AJ?

It's a fact the driver was speeding, read back your inital post, your making it sound like AJ and his friends made that happen

Fury doesn't have to accept anything your right but if he wants the big big money like you say he will fight for then unfortunately it's not all about him if that's his path

And not as many people paid to go watch him live recently as they would have liked
Free and discounted tickets were being flaunted around weeks before the actual fight itself
So because Turki is backing it, it's a legit call out? Fury could if he chooses to pull out, drag stuff out etc if he chooses to
Turki is just a cash point to them, nobody cares really about him

You've just even admitted Fury is full of crap but this one time he definitely isn't because it kinda suits what you want to believe

I couldn't care less what Fury does, if he retires, carries on etc

If him and AJ fight I'll look forward to it but if they don't I also don't care

My issue is how some people seem to excuse Fury but pile on AJ for not publicly accepting a challenge from a proven liar, a guy that pulls out of fights, a guy that challenged David Price but didn't even fight him

AJ is far from perfect, in fact he is a bit of a weirdo but seeing some say he bottled it it just bizzare when you put things in to context
