Anthony Joshua is just a taller, bigger and stronger version of Mike Tyson.

He has a similar body-type, but much more muscle-mass. He's just as fast as Tyson but has a stunning jab, he can fight on the outside as well as inside. He's a more technical puncher too.

Mike Tyson is too small to put out Joshua. Joshua is a hybrid between Lennox Lewis, Joe Louis and Mike Tyson. Even Cornish is better than light-heavyweight Michael Spinks. Spinks was a bum and beat an ageing Larry Holmes.

No. Let's see him deal with a short and stocky powerhouse with elite skill coming at him applying pressure and executing front-foot combinations thrown with venom and refined technique.

In other words, let's see him deal with Povetkin, to give us even a vague glimpse of how a prime Tyson might or mightn't rattle his cage.

lol, it's unrealistic hype threads like these that cause a portion of boxing fans to turn against an up and comer

AJ would put Povetkin to sleep.

Povetkin has no future. His style of fighting is not good for ageing fighters.

Povetkin, for a supposedly "aging fighter", is coming off a hell of a run of form since the loss to WK and is the second best heavyweight on the planet until proven otherwise.

Joshua beats Povetkin easily. Even Haye would smash Povetkin.

    THANK YOU. Totally agree.

We haven't seen Joshua tested enough yet, he may or may not have the skills etc but I haven't seen them yet. We'll see how he develops and how he goes as he gets better tests, he's clearly is one of the top guys fighting currently no matter what.

AJ hasn't faced world level opposition yet. Give him a chance to develop.

I'm from the UK and I admit I can be bias towards UK fighters but what we have seen from AJ so far I'm having a really difficult time imagining AJ dealing well with a 20-21 year old Tyson.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense now that he knocked out the Great Gary Cornish.

He will fight Dillian Whyte before the end of the year - a guy who beat Joshua in the amateurs and the first guy who doesn't come to the ring as a stepping stone type of no hoper, and the first guy who's actually in the top 50 as well.

That fight will be a big test for Joshua both mentally and boxing skills-wise. If he gets past that with a dominating fashion as well, for me he's the #1 candidate to the throne.
