And that's fine. While I think it only right that Joshua-Wilder should take precedence over Whyte's ambitions for the time being (unless the WBC mandate otherwise), I could still understand that position.

But Dillian's language and attitude toward the Hearn/Joshua Matchroom axis has been a little too cuddly and deferential lately for someone who depicts himself as some kind of solitary bad boy outsider figure railing against the boxing establishment. Hearn and Joshua are using him as a dim, grinning bulldog, and he's lapping it up in the hope that a seat at the big boys' table awaits. His lone wolf schtick seems to disappear as quickly at the merest sniff of acceptance as his patois does when he finds himself in the grip of rage.

Which is surely understandable given how Hearn is delivering for him? Headline at the O2, helped him get number one challenger status at WBC? He could soon be fighting Wilder for one of the most coveted titles in world boxing and a win would guarantee him a bigger payday than he could ever have realistically dreamt of just a few years ago.

I'm starting to get the feeling you're not an AJ fan.

Every fan or hater should understand that whatever everyone is saying left and right, Wilder HAS to be in the building on saturday.

People like you are the reason Eddie Hearn is getting away with the BS he’s pulling. Again I don’t disagree we AJ being the current active(Fury’s not active) HW. But it doesn’t change the fact that there is a titleholder out there who wants to fight him which will be the BIGGEST fight in boxing. Hearn is putting roadblocks in the way and doesn’t want Wilder to confront Joshua in Cardiff but he would have surely enabled Whyte to confront Wilder. I don’t care about either side I just wanna see this great fight now and not 5 YEARS LATER.

I'm just really surprised Wilder and his handlers actually used their brains for once and outmanoeuvred Hearn.

And from what I understand that's without a contract. Whyte can walk from Eddie yet Hearn still delivers for him.

Yeah, not being there is really showing him isn't it?

Staying away is not increasing the chances of the fight happening is it? Wilder is isolating himself. Who else is he going to fight? Another Joshua leftover in Dominic Breazeale for a fraction of the money he would get for Whyte, never mind Joshua. Yeah smart move!
