I keep hearing Joshua is really "good" on the back foot

Can anyone give me an example of a fight where AJ fights on the back foot?

    He doesn't.

Just ring circling and holding distance against an obese midget made him look uncomfortable and stiff. lol.

AJ is a bully fighter, worse so than Wilder & as such fury is going to bully him even more.

He did it in spots against Povetkin and did it against Ruiz and Pulev. But lets be real here he isn't very good at it

I'd still like someone to define what that even is other than more armchair qb clichés
Do you just mean fighting while backing up or actually switching to back foot and fighting southpaw?

Moving backwards and basically making the opponent fall short then counter. Moving laterally whilst punching which very few heavies can do fluidly.

Fury Hammer is a perfect example.

AJ typically holds ground or presses forward

Amir Khan couldn't fight off the backfoot.

Run to a high guard ring circle defense against effective pressure fighters who they don't want to meet head on.

I think most people expect Fury to be the one fighting off the backfoot early doors, that's if AJ wants to get aggressive and take some risks.

Well because "good" is arbitrary. Joshua was able to box with old Pulev more comfortably than Hughie Fury did so he's at least decent at it but he's nowhere near as good as prime Klitschko or Tyson Fury in terms of range boxing
