Anthony Joshua Granted An Exception By IBF To Fight Wladimir Klitschko

People do seem to have forgotten about Ortiz and his pending WBA mandatory. I assume Hearn has asked the WBA for an exception as well and I expect that to be granted as well. Though I think with both mandatory fights being delayed he'll be stripped by one of them eventually.

Let's hope Joshua chooses Ortiz over Pulev, Pulev has no chance whatsoever. Ortiz I think will lose to Joshua as well, he won't be able to apply enough pressure, though he does have a punchers chance.

 

Looks like it will be impossible to defend both the WBA and IBF within the timeframe, shattering the belts again afterwards. But I still believe they did the right thing.

Now find a venue for it to take place and let's get it awn!

 

lol ortiz is so over rated, hes poor. He's old doesnt apply enough pressure and the speed and youth and power of AJ would get him out of their quickly, he's got power and thats it, he let malik scott run from him for 36 minutes. Although scott was running like mad, ortiz didnt try and put it on him and looked slow and ****.

 

Could it be as simple as Team Fury not even applying for an exemption?

 

Yeah, call me naive but I believed that too... I think when you look at it I am sure Fury thought he would win but I don't think there were prepared in anyway shape of form what came after. Whereas, Joshua was already the IBF champion and fought klitshcko just for the WBA not all the belts like Fury. So they took more time to think whats next and its pretty obvious to anyone that not blinded by the notion of a witch hunt against the gypsy nation that Hearn simply has a good working relationship with the Saulands and so made a deal.

 

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the WBA came out quite early on and said that Joshua will be given time. I actually reckon we will see Ortiz fight for the WBA Regular in the meantime. That makes sense to me and would keep Ortiz busy... I very much doubt any governing body is in a hurry to loose Joshua as their title holder.
