Anthony Joshua has issued a warning to oleksandr usyk that he may need to come with more power now

They said the same thing about Holyfield when he moved up, I think Usyk will be fine

 

I have to say, Usyk's power did seem concerning at first. But something changed my mind and that was the interview with Allen about his sparring. He claimed Usyk wobbled him. And we're talking about a granite chinned guy that takes rounds of punishment from Price, Whyte, Ortiz etc.

So now I'm thinking if Usyk can hurt Allen in sparring, he should be able to KO Joshua in a real fight.

But let's see what he can do to Chisora, because he should be able to land clean and hurt him and if that doesn't happen, maybe Allen has lost his chin or Usyk borrowed those gloves without the padding from Fury.

 

Chisora is used to the slow pace of the heavyweights, if Usyk comes looking for a KO he can stop Chisora by the 4th round (taking some risks without trading)

 

He couldn’t outbox Bowe, it took Bowe to come in bad shape to make it an even playing field. The first Bowe fight holy had no option, then when he was close up he was fighting a big man with good infighting skills.

FFS, this talk about power is so reductionist. Is this all the HW division has come down to now, who hits harder? Do things like skill, speed, athleticism not matter any more?

For the record Usyk definitely has the power to hurt anyone. He might not do it with one punch but he'll do it with four or five, and he has the attributes to make them all land while making you miss. That's been his pattern throughout his career and there's never been a single opponent of his who's just walked through his shots with no repercussions. They either feel the power and shell up, or get so badly messed up in the face they can no longer fight effectively.

My prediction is Chisora mentally stops trying after a few efforts to get inside and finding himself frequently turned and peppered at angles. At that point he becomes a punch bag and it's down to his corner whether to pull him out or not, knowing that the fight is all but lost.

 

Usyk does not carry enougth power to hurt a aj or fury at heavyweight

They will be able to box with him and carry far more power

The bodybuilder knows that getting hit by these 267lbs behemoth blobs scrambles brain cells. I just hope Usyk's puny punching power will be able to fend off that 255lb Chisora.
