Me too,maybe it was just an off night.In Joshuas own words he got caught and hurt badly by the sound of it and was unable to recover.The following multiple knockdowns would suggest this as he kept it together after Wlad dropped him.
The biggest worry is his stamina as Ruiz can go twelve rounds no problem.He doesn't have a choice really and has to try and rectify his loss.

 

That's the best consensus. As you stated regarding his ring smarts or lack thereof...I'm not sure if he is savvy enough to know how to tie up Ruiz. He seems pretty strong on the inside. Theoretically, it is his best route technically, I dunno, LOL! Ruiz @ 6'2 isn't exactly a small HW, big enough & strong enough IMO to break those clinches or prevent them.
