Honestly then it could be exciting. yes not a MMA fight. Just 2 dudes finding out which one is tougher.

lot of fighters have also woken up now. Thanks to Conor. They realises that you have to be exciting to earn money+ this boxer vs MMA fights could be something amazing.

Joshua vs Jones in UFC without submissions would sell like crazy.

Also some boxing matches would be mega interesting. Sports should be fun too sometimes!

Someone also may want to inform Anthony that the UFC will drug test him unlike UKAD! I am sure he will demand the fight take place in the U.K. under their governing body.

Yeah the criminal past and sleaziness with wives is just THE BREATH OF FRESH AIR the division needs, Doe! Right?!

God I hope the mixed rules fight with Stipe gets made. But it most likely won't. Too good to be true.

He could probably make a decent check against Brock or Jon Jones. No heavyweights worth the trouble.

Miocic will just take him down and submit him. The dynamics of an MMA match are a lot different than a boxing match. Too many things to worry about.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

If he really means it then he deserves credit. However it is more likely that he is riding the mma/boxing bangwagon wave to prop up his name even further.

All talk, just like how Amir Khan was meant to be crossing over to mma.

I'm not sure if anybody actually read the article but he did say he would most likely get beaten in the second sentence...

He also said no wrestling (takedowns) but kicking et al would be ok..

These rules would give him a chance..

He must have heard the rumours about Ward wanting to fight him.

A chance to get taken down and "submitted" by punches to the face, yes. GnP is a real thing.

He'd have a chance under these modified rules if he took up wrestling with an eye to stuffing the TD and took up something like Muay Thai with an eye to handling things like low kicks.

Basically, if he became at least part MMA fighter.

If he was dropped as heavily in a mma type contest as he was vs WK he won't get back up again. A dude like Miocic or Jones would be all over him.

Forget the take down. Try defending kicks and taking hard kicks to the shin. And in clinches you have to defend the take down. The ref ain't breaking it up.

Both side of the sport should just stick to their own game. It is not the same sports.

Very good point. And not that anybody in MMA could land as hard a shot... but imagine if Joshua got cracked by that same atomic straight right as Wlad hit him with in 4oz UFC gloves :D Lol It would be a 'walk off' KO with Anthony not waking up until after Buffer announces the result.

Anyway if there are takedowns... I expect Stipe to fight a similar fight as he did against Hunt. Except even more double and single legs most likely.
