    No ,
I know you have reading comprehension issues so I'll take this step by step.
This is not a series of matchups ,between A J and former heavyweights.
The clue is in the title . HOW WOULD HE BE PERCEIVED?
If it was H2H I would have entitled it .How would AJ have done against Fred Smith and Bill Jones?
God Almighty ,you really are, supply your own epiphet!

It is a big assumption that he would translate well into that ruleset.

I suspect that there was a reason why there were not many big heavyweights at the highest level back then.

Not a matter of being literate. I'm trying to draw attention to how ridiculous a conversation this is. Might as well debate who would win between anthony joshua and batman

How might perform A.J vs Ali from 1967 th and Shavers from 70 ies or Foreman from 1974th?
Who might won match A.J vs Wilder if it happened this month?

What do you think that would be? AJ has his limitations,I would not call him more than a good fighter but I have to say I don't think that many 1900's scrappers would be able to go more than a few rounds with him. Do you think otherwise?

If you find it ridiculous a modern fighter being matched with one from the 1900s on a Classic Forum, and how 1900's fans would think of such a fighter, I'd say you have misinterpreted what this forum is essentially about.Furthermore if it is so ridiculous to you ,why make two posts on it? Why not just ignore it?
You're right on one thing ,its not a matter of being literate ,it's a matter of being a pedantic ,supply your own adjective.

We dont know, and if you'd like the Forum's opinions on your questions why don't you make a thread about it as I have on this subject? This thread BTW is concerned with AJ and how the boxing public of 1900 would have thought of him.
ps A thread on Joshua v Wilder would be instantly taken down and moved to its appropriate Forum. This is the Classic Forum where fighters of different eras are matched .In case you havent noticed.

I am genuinely conflicted on the matter.

In theory Joshua should be able to annihilate most fighters from that era, but what happens if we put him in a twenty round fight, under the rules of that era?

Perhaps somebody says to themself "this big stiff is only good for twelve rounds, I can outlast him with the rights tactics."

The right tactics being run away until he gasses? He didnt gas against Ruiz last time out and he was pretty mobile at the end so maybe we could assume he would win the majority of the first 12 rds by being the aggressor? That would leave his opponent, needing to either stop him, or take all the remaining rounds wouldn't it?
Certainly AJ has never gone more than 12 and we would be putting that version of him in the ring, with no acclimatisation.
AJ fought Ruiz in NY in June and Saudi in Dec, I don't know what the ring temperatures were in either fight.

Only people I'd outright favor over him from that era (1900-1920) are Dempsey and Johnson.
