I personally think Wlad is one of the best role models in professional sport period. Deserves all the respect he gets. I think a win vs Wilder will cap a HOF career of nicely.

Wladimir definitely deserves all the respect in the world. The man has been consistent all his career regardless of opposition. How can anyone not admire that?

He's very right, but it might cost him a couple of fans saying something like that.

Why would it cost him fans? He didn't make any derogatory remarks. He expressed an opinion on what level he thinks certain fighters are on. Not sure where the negatives are from this interview.

Why would a role model refuse drug testing

Did he ever refuse the tests made by the commission immediately after fights?

Wlad's not refusing testing. Testing will be done as it always is.
Why should Wlad give into challenger Pulev's demands?

Dictating demands to one of the two most powerful, accomplished active fighters in the sport today....yeah, that's gonna happen.

Besides, extra testing boils down to nothing more than posturing when one realizes how easy it still is to beat. Gotta love when fans act like there's iron-clad, unbeatable testing out there that boxing just chooses not to use.

Extra PED testing is like the old joke punchline of a screen door on a submarine. The reality is that better testing just means there are fewer holes in the screen for for the water to slip through. It's still going to flood- more water goes through the holes that are still there.

    That's exactly the point.
A lot of British fans hate Wlad's guts (of course not all of them), and don't like it when one of their prospects says something completely opposite what they are spouting.
Of course I'm exaggerating about Joshua losing fans, but a couple sure as hell wouldn't like it. Wich of course is a little said.

Joshua is an over-hyped weak chinned bum ! He has about as much power as Paulina Malignaggi.... who cares if he's hangin out at Vlads camp. did they sparr ? Hell no ! Lil A.J. doesn't want to get his ass slapped all over the ring in front of the boxing media,. That's not good business. But neither are those opponents found by the Sisters of Mercy.....
