Fighting on Nichols' undercard is an honor.

Or, one could ask why a guy who is nearly 30 only has 22 fights?

At this point, Joshua will be 35 years old and people will be going ... who should Joshua fight in his 30th bout?

Will Joshua even win 30 fights in his career?

That's an easy one. He started relatively late at 18 and had to fit in winning a gold medal. On turning pro he then took the laudable decision to advance rapidly to the top of the division and not pad his record battering journeymen and second rate opposition.

Hopefully no-one will be asking who he fights at 35 because he'll already have hung up his gloves having done all he set out to do. Personally I hope he doesn't hang around past 32, I like it when boxers retire with their health and their wealth before they get retired.

Wilder never got a chance to fight a fully fit Fury, since Fury walked away from boxing for almost 3 years. Fury didn't even bother to rematch Wlad despite it being another easy payday, since Wlad in 2015-2016 wasn't capable of beating Fury.

By that reckoning, he's only got another 6 fights left before he retires. Still, every boxer at the top says that they want to retire at a relatively young age, having achieved every thing that they wanted to but how many top fighters actually keep to their word and can resist he lure of the fame and fortune that comes with carrying on or making a comeback?

When anybody asks that question of Joshua they just need to check when he turned pro, its not like hes had a slow career he may just have a short one. However i would like to know the thought behind Wilders managers guiding his career the way they have. His resume is exactly the reason he isnt a much bigger star in America. They were complaining about him years ago they were getting impatient with the weak opposition that he never got much of a fanbase and still hasnt. They were either protecting him and hiding something from the divisions big boys or they actually had some master plan which to anybody who follows Boxing would think was just stupid and crazy.

To me its like they have hidden in the background, ticking along with smartly chosen opposition and waited for the big star to come close and they have just jumped on him like a leach and they are sucking for all they are worth. And they really do suck.

How in the world are they going to get him there? Even business class is too confined for Mr Nichols
