Two totally different fighters who have two totally different motivations to be in the sport.

AJ is young enough and fresh enough in terms of miles on the clock to come back from this, people can make excuses
about him being unwell or knocked out in sparring or whatever but AJ and his team have made zero excuses and thats what is important.
My opinion is that he was doing ok until the 3rd, got caught and never recovered which Ruiz took full advantage of and beat his ass. I think AJ will win the rematch personally, he is no fraud and it's ignorant to suggest he is.

And yet a great example as to why one should be careful about forecasting a fighters future career for the next 10 years based on a single night's performance!

Klit was always in it for legacy.

Joshua wants the money and to get out.

And I was never a klit fan. However Wlad is a genuine ATG

You may end up being absolutely right. If Joshua Isn't mentally strong enough to overcome the beating he suffered this past Saturday night than he Is finished as an elite fighter. On the flip side, he was caught behind the ear in a spot that is very difficult to recover from, as we are all aware. His next fight will tell the story, but he needs to do some serious work on his stamina. It would also not be a bad idea for him and his team to consider taking a fight that would help him boost his confidence(If that is possible at this point) before re matching Ruiz. Joshua needs to start fighting like a guy with an 82" reach, especially when you are susceptible to being hurt as often as him and Wilder seem to be.

It just don’t make no sense too be that big 235-238 max, he would be more fluid when he threw punches and he’d pick up speed. Add speed not power we already know he hits hard. I needs to bulk down ASAP

His weight was one of the reasons he literally collapsed to the ground on the last knockdown. He had zero left.

His weight/stamina has caused him the most problems in his career.

Don’t know why this wasn’t addressed before the inevitable. Maybe because he kept blasting people out.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where Anthony wins the rematch against Buttergene. He lost nearly every exchange in a big way.

Joshua is only 29, but already looks shot. Like he got old overnight.

Knockdowns seem to cause Joshua to fight in Slow Motion. Maybe it's like the shock of getting knocked down plus the energy it takes him to get back up (all that muscle mass) but Joshua seems to really become winded from knockdowns.

Every fighter reacts differently to knockdowns. Some don't slow down at all, others slow down or become discombobulated. AJ seems to gas badly from getting knocked down, and while he maintains his compusure, he seems to lose a lot of his overall speed of movement, not necessarily hand speed but foot speed, body movement, etc.

It's like in those Victorious Boxers boxing games when you land a body shot on somebody weak and they start moving in super slow motion, you know that's like what it looks like when AJ gets knocked down and gets back up. Like he's mentally still in it, his concentration is maintained, and his reaction to punches is generally still there, but it's just his overall speed has slowed a lot and he becomes visibly fatigued. I can't help but think that it gives the opponent more confidence to put it on him when seeing a guy become so winded from getting knocked down.

I really think it was brilliant for Ruiz to concentrate on so many shots to the chest. Those really seemed to affect AJ's breathing maybe even more than lower body shots.

Some people were saying the pressure of his US debut was an issue.

But what about the pressure of a rematch, that if he loses it. Puts an end to his career.

AJ with 2 losses to Ruiz Jr is no longer PPV and finished as a fighter.

Many of AJs weaknesses are now common knowledge, it’s going to be tough for him.

If AJ got knocked out again in his next fight or in his rematch then I might agree with you. But right now it's too soon to say that he's finished. Lets take a look at Kovalev after he got 2 K.O. loss and most people thought that he's done but he proved that he's not yet finished. If only one T.K.O. loss could make such a big impact on AJ's career then he should hang them up for good.
