This is why there’s so much duckin and dodgin in boxing, you’re apparently finished after 1 loss.

    So dumb.

Joshua is fine, he’ll win the rematch and still hold most of the belts, back to square 1.

We really need to see what happens in the rematch before making any big predictions..

If it goes the way of the first then we have either been sold a con or we have a new no 1 of the division which will again depend on how well Ruiz defends the belts going forward..

If AJ wins he may be able to say he just had an off night (if it is a good win)..

People are making too much about AJ being caught by one punch which changed the fight. Wrong. Ruiz caught him many more punches and flurries after that and it wont be any different in the rematch. AJ's poor chin and poor abilities to recover will always be a problem in the rematch

I can forgive him for not being there mentally, away from home, fighting someone who he didn't really want to fight....I'm sure he was looking past Ruiz he just wanted wilder, he wanted miller as well after the build up he wanted to hurt miller. Ruiz was simply overlooked and he found it hard to get up for the fight. He thought it was just a routine defence in there so when he found out the reality he was shocked, un prepared mentally and didnt know how to react. His heart wasn't in it from the start.

Now fast forward 6 months in a rematch it will be totally different. It will be his only focus, his career on the line and he will have 80'000 Brits behind him willing him on. Its a massive difference. Don't underestimate it, look at what Anfield does for Liverpool.

The true test of a champ is how he responds when his backs against the wall, if he has anything about him once the pain of defeats subsides the pain of that loss should drive him.

We should see a totally different Joshua in the rematch, a switched on motivated dangerous fighter that is in a do or die situation with his career on the line, a wounded animal that is very dangerous.

If not then I guess he was a bum all along.

I'll wait until the rematch. He may have under estimated Ruiz like many of us did. If AJ comes back and destroys Ruiz in the rematch, he's back on top.

Too much money involved, so he might be coming back. Even if they realize how risky is that.
What's bad is that they are making emotional decisions. Just three days after a fight like that and Hearn has activated a rematch clause already?

You sound like a jealous hater.

His flaws were exposed yes as they have been since he fought Whyte. Yes his team FAILED to work on these flaws since then and because of that and numerous other things he lost the crown. However, he has an opportunity now to work and brush up on these flaws to help him in the rematch this year.

He Is too old to iron them out completely and he started too late to work on them as an amateur. If he can box and move, jab and set up the right hand Ruiz Jr wont get near him. If he goes In for a brawl then he is In trouble.

Im sure Andy Jr and his team will be aware of AJs game plan this time.

Fury will say the same, why deflate a future opponent, unfortunately Fury doesn't have the resources to get Joshua in the ring noz...They will probably fight in the mid 2020s, but by then it will be emptied of all its content...

Answer me this? If Joshua hadn't gotten up after the first knockdown what would be your verdict?

Joshua knocked Down Ruiz and then went in for the kill and got stopped.

Why does getting up and being impaired/ still hurt and then beaten down make a slight bit of difference?

Obviously he isnt the most durable and was done after that. Anyone with eyes and a brain could see that much.

Now the only way I would agree your point is actually without the knockdown and nandy just out boxed Joshua for the whole fight or at least half the fight before stopping him.

Not one punch, the whole strategy is wrong. Fight long, pump out the jab, watch out for the overhand right which means you should be leaning to your right to create even more distance, pump the jab from further out instead of from your face (something Lennox and wlad used to do). When Ruiz counters check him with the hook, when he gets inside use your uppercut or tie him up, reset.

Joshua has so many physical advantages he shouldn’t be losing this fight unless he fights like an idiot which he did.

Wlad could come out of retirement and destroy Ruiz.

'Vlad-like'. A reference to a style of boxing not a comparison of quality. A compliment to WK (ie: a suggested route to follow) not a criticism. And where did I say he would manage to pull this off? 'Could be effective', is what I said.

So in short, I complimented Wlad's style of boxing, commended it's effectiveness and suggested Joshua tries that as an alternative to charging in and getting KTFO; and recognised doubts he might nail that approach.

And you have an issue with that? Question my POV certainly but you're in no position to 'lol' at anything I typed....

Joshua is very talented and very flawed. He's going to be the type of boxer that can beat the best fighters and then lose to some journeyman. That's the way it goes when you got the ability, but you lack the chin, stamina etc.

Overturning a bad loss in the immediate rematch can do wonders for a fighter legacy. If he loses twice , its over .. but wining in impressive fashion puts him back where he was.

Same result again except this time AJ is KTFO.
