AJ proved that he is a very good fighter vs Usyk and its so bad his fans and other people dont recognize how good he was in this fight because of this weird misconception of him as this huge pressure monster puncher, something he really never was and probably never will.

He adjusted, competed and had success against probably the best boxer in the world right now for a few rounds and lost vs a generational talent. No shame on that.

really , face the best? , ,I thought Fury wanted to fight him many times ?? or i am i wrong there ? Fury is clearly the best in a very weak HW division competition wise ... and dont you mean a top 30 to 40 HW ? I'm really not sure what you are seeing to think he is that special

Well I wouldn't give him a lot of credit avenging a loss to a 283 pound lard bucket like Ruiz was that night. I'm not sure that version of Ruiz would have beaten Arreola .

Agreed ... As a matter a fact . it goes to show you the level AJ is at by losing to him the way he did in the first place .. I dont think some get that

You can only beat the man in front of you.

And how many times has he been in front of Wilder and Fury ?? It's like all this hype for YEARS about these so called great WW's who were 1, 2, and 3 .. Crawford, Spence, And Thurman all champs .. but they never would fight each other .. Boxing as pulled the wool over the eyes of the fan because of the lack of competition .. and its amazing some just cant figure that out

Nailed it,, I watched his match with Wlad again, he's clearly not the same fighter. That version of Joshua got dropped with a huge right hand ,then got up regained his composure, went after Wlad stopping him. Can't imagine him coming off the mat today to win a fight can you? This version fights tentative, hesitant and appears to be afraid of mixing it up at all. It's not physical, and the evidence appears to show he hasn't really recovered mentally from the Ruiz KO. History shows some fighters never recover from a KO loss.

If Joshua moved around so terrified of Ruiz in the rematch can you imagine what respect he'd show Wilder? If Wilder has punching distance,,which I think he would , eventually sometime between the 5th and 10th I think Wilder nails him and it's over.

He's called out Fury several times and there can be little doubt that he wanted to face him this summer. Not saying Fury has ducked him,, mind you, just bad timing and bad luck.

You can maybe ask him when he won the title not to declare that he would only fight twice a year from then on. Imagine he was the sole champion some contenders would die of old age before getting a shot. A young relatively fresh fighter like he was when he first won the title was more than capable of fighting 3or 4 times a year.

Politics of boxing has been keeping those fights from happening

I was a believer because he looked the goods, but his gassing, losing in definite manner and showing apprehension every time in those bouts...

a Handful of fights against a weak division/era, does NOT a Great fighter make.

a Club Fighter in better Era's.

Whatever happens going forward, he will always be a fighter who unified three belts.

You can't take that accomplishment away from him.

    So what went wrong?

Personally I think that he just lost his desire.

Got too much too soon, and paid the price.
